  • Added config "items_used_up" that toggles whether or not the item used to revive someone will be consumed.

  • Fixed a bug wherein players would still be able to pick up items while dying.
  • Added a few "safety nets" wherein players can be removed from laststand mode on teleport and respawn; this may help improve compatibility with plugins using spawn points.
  • Slightly changed the means by which players die when the foodbar runs out; this may prevent players from respawning at the minecraft spawn instead of their team spawnpoint.
  • Fixed bows for PvP; you can now kill dying players with a bow. However, arrows may bounce if they cause a player to enter laststand (because the damage was cancelled).
  • More damage types are configurable for whether or not you will be revivable from them, and whether or not they will hurt your foodbar while dying.
  • Added basic world support to the config; you can now change what worlds laststand will work in.

    Sept 4/2013 - v2.1.4
  • Closed a few loopholes where players could be stuck in LastStand mode after spawning via spawn-point plugins. It is now separated from the actual death event so this error should be fixed now.
  • ... But I also added an admin command laststand.revive <player> that completely resets a player, which as a last resort could be setup with some kind of auto-command to always attempt to reset people when they respawn. See the Commands section on the main page.
  • Added the "message players within a certain range" option for all of the messages that were currently "broadcast to server" messages. They are all in the configs in their own little section, and for the most part they are now the defaults. The broadcast options are still there, but disabled by default.
  • Made monster un-targetting a little better when you enter last stand mode; most monsters will now correctly un-target you if you start dying and re-target you if you are revived.
  • Added a PvP damage mitigator config option to turn down how much "foodbar" damage you can deal to a player who is dying if the PvP option is turned on. Bows still don't work for finishing off a player who is dying :(

  • The '-kill' command now causes instant, actual death regardless of if you are already dying or not (by popular demand).
  • More messages are configurable.
  • Fall damage can now be turned on or off for dying mode; if on, fall damage is deducted from food bar i.e. time you have left to live.
  • Dying visual effects are now configurable (ender pearl, smoke, etc).
  • New dying visual effect 'damage' (turns you red like you are being hit).
  • PvP option can be turned on in config; allows a player to damage and kill another player when they are dying using MELEE only. Damage is deducted from food bar i.e. the time they have left to live (I would say this is still in alpha, but give it a try).
  • Fix: Players should no longer get "stuck" in dying mode after they respawn.
  • NEW ISSUE: Stopping dying players from picking up items is broken. While I look into this, all item consumption while dying will now be cancelled to prevent recovering food points or health.

  • Initial upload.
  • Stopping dying players from picking up items is broken as of 2.0. This is fixed as of 2.1.6
  • Known incompatibility with AntiCheat when movement speed while dying is configured below a certain speed (see the ticket on this).
  • Anything that replenishes your foodbar without eating (such as the "food" spell in MagicSpells) makes it possible to remain in "last stand mode" indefinitely.
  • Anything that cancels damage (such as the "leap" spell in MagicSpells) may interfere with the damage-cancelling that occurs right before "last stand mode" is activated, resulting in death.
  • Sometimes if death occurs for any reason other than the food bar expiring (or disconnecting) in "last stand mode", you will still be in "last stand mode" upon respawning. You should be revivable, but a disconnect should always reset you. Also see the laststand.revive <player> command.
  • Very rarely, LastStand mode fails to activate when damage is taken from players or mobs and the player will simply die.
