LangBridge 1.7.0 — Chat Language Selector

  • Player Chat Language: Each player can now choose the language they want to READ chat messages in, regardless of their Minecraft launcher language.

  • Language Selection Prompt: When joining the server, players receive a message with clickable buttons offering the 12 most common languages, plus Automatic and No Translation options. The prompt repeats until a selection is made.

  • Visual Language Menu: Added a new interactive language selection menu that players can open anytime using /lb language.

  • Language Command: Added /lb language <language|auto|off> to change chat language preferences directly via command.

  • Granular Permissions: Introduced new feature-specific permissions:

    • langbridge.chat.use
    • langbridge.chat.select
    • langbridge.chat.toggle
    • langbridge.chat.menu
    • langbridge.player (permission group)

    All permissions are disabled by default, while OPs automatically have access.

  • Enhanced Console Startup: Added a new startup display showing the plugin version, translation engine, and the status of each feature.
