kutisComps 1.2.3
Yup, it's possible! Minecraft computers!
Now also with permissionsBukkit!!!
For a full list of commands, permissions or usage see the Pages tab.
How to use this plugin:
- Make a computer You will need any wall, a wool block and a sign. Place the sign on a wall and under it place a wool block, so there will be one block space between it. Thus, as you might realise, the sign will be a monitor!
Oh, and you can use any wool color.
- Use it! Hm, but how?! So, i recommend to stand on the wool block of the comp, and then try /kcomp help - it should give you some more info.
- First steps:
Register:
Find a comp, and use /kcomp register [pass]
then:
Login:
/kcomp login [pass] - huge success!
So here we go!
Dir:
/kcomp dir [page] - the page is optional, default is page 0. And yes, it counts from 0.
This commands shows the content of your directory on the comp's display.
Disk quota:
/kcomp quota - shows your VFS drive usage and the percentage and maximum amount of files on the VFS.
Default is 10. Server admins can change that in the file in /plugins/kcomp/vfs/vfs.max.cfg
Apps:
Now, i think, you might want to run some applications on it. This part is still WIP and sometimes it just doesn't work well, so shut up and be patient :)
You can run them using /kcomp app [app] [args]
so, here is a list of currently added apps:
- test - no args - shows some test stuff on the display
- who - no args - who are you?
- error - no args - shows Error! on the screen, ofcoz it's a fake error, just for effect :D
And now VFS! (VFS = virtual file system)
- write [file] [text] - writes text to a file in your VFS drive
- read [file] - reads the file and displays it in your chat
- delete [file] - delete a file. what else?
- send [player] [file] - send a file to another player - he will be also alerted in chat :)
And now, when u tried it all, you should log out.
/kcomp logout
If you want to see, who's logged in, use
/kcomp wholog
=== That's all! ===
Now, please, suggest which features should i add, or remove or improve.
Current TODO list:
- More extensible application system
- Networks!
- Terminal only computers ?
- Server computers ?
- Chat servers ???
- File servers ?
- API for developing applications
- Redstone interaction - get redstone value, change it, and so on - might be awesome for use with some factories or piston machines as a control panel
- Maybe also a really simple GUI - you will just have to look at the center of a button on the screen (MIND POWER!!! :D)
So, suggest something!
