JuholeiChat
Why?
I hate all other chat plugins out there, so I created this one.
Features
- Multiple prefixes per user
- Easy to use
- Admin-only chat
- Nicknames - are prefixed with ~ by default, but you can give a player the juholeichat.nick.noprefix permission to get rid of it
- Colored chat
Colored chat 101
To get chat colors, type '&' (no quotes) and 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, a, b, c, d, e or f after that. All text followed by this get colorized. You can type multiple colors in one message. Example: &aH&bE&cL&dL&eO&f!
Permissions
- juholeichat.talk - Allows the player to chat
- juholeichat.adminchat - Allows sending and receiving admin-only chat
- juholeichat.nick - Allows the player to set their nickname
- juholeichat.nick.noprefix - Allows the nickname to be set without a prefix (nick / nick)
- juholeichat.prefix.PREFIX - Gives the player a prefix defined in the config
- juholeichat.formatting - Allows the player to send colored or styled chat messages
- juholeichat.admin.reload - Allows the player to reload the JuholeiChat config
Commands
Do "/help <command>" to get more info, or do "/help JuholeiChat" to get all commands
- /juholeichat - The main JuholeiChat command
- /ac - Used to send admin-only chat
- /nick - Used to set the nickname
Installation
- Download the .jar file and place it in /plugins
- Either /reload or restart the server
- Modify the config to your liking
- Add permissions to the users
- /reload or restart again
TODO
- Add a PM/mail system
- Make some things configurable, like the color of admin-only chat
- Add a few more permissions, like a permission for using the magic character in chat
- Make a logo for the plugin
