HopperLock v1.2.0 — Smart Filtering & Crafter Compatibility
HopperLock v1.2.0 introduces smarter slot-based filtering and improved compatibility with automated Crafters.
New Features
- Smart Slot Filtering
- Each locked hopper slot now remembers the item type that was present when
/hopperlockwas used. - Locked slots only accept their assigned item type.
- One item always remains reserved in each configured slot.
- Excess items can continue through the hopper normally.

- Improved Item Distribution
- Incoming items are automatically routed to their matching filter slot.
- One item type can no longer take over slots reserved for other ingredients.
- Items that don't match any configured filter slot are rejected instead of clogging the hopper.
- Crafter Compatibility
- HopperLock now detects when a locked hopper is feeding a Crafter.
- Disabled Crafter slots are respected and will no longer receive items.
- HopperLock prioritizes existing matching ingredient stacks before using empty enabled slots.
- Designed to work alongside CrafterLock for compact automated crafting systems.
Improvements
- Improved hopper-to-Crafter item handling.
- Better protection against automation breaking configured recipes.
- Unlocked hoppers continue to use normal vanilla hopper behavior.
- Non-Crafter destinations retain normal HopperLock transfer behavior.
Important when updating
Hoppers that were locked using an older version of HopperLock should be unlocked and locked again after installing v1.2.0.
This allows HopperLock to save the new per-slot item filters required by the Smart Filtering system.
Example
A hopper configured as:
Egg | Sugar | Pumpkin | Empty | Empty
will keep those item types assigned to their respective filter slots.
Large amounts of Eggs can therefore no longer occupy the Sugar or Pumpkin filter slots, helping prevent automated crafting systems from becoming clogged.
