ChatGuard is a lightweight chat filter and anti-spam plugin for Spigot & Paper servers (1.13+). It allows server owners to automatically filter out undesirable words and phrases from in-game chat, with options to censor or block messages entirely.

One plugin. Clean chat. No spam. Configurable word filter, anti-spam detection, and bypass permissions — all with simple configuration.

ChatGuard uses a simple YAML configuration where you can define:

A list of banned words and phrases
Filter mode: censor (replace with asterisks) or block (prevent the message entirely)
Anti-spam sensitivity settings

📦 Installation

Download the latest version from this page
Place the .jar file in your server's plugins/ folder
Restart your server
Configure the banned word list in plugins/ChatGuard/config.yml
