DailyStreak Source-Available License (DSAL) v1.0
Copyright (c) 2026 Ancient Web
Permission is hereby granted, subject to the conditions and restrictions
below, to any person obtaining a copy of this software and associated
source code (the "Software"), to use, copy, modify, merge, and distribute
copies of the Software.
1. PERMITTED USE
The Software may be used, self-hosted, and modified on any Minecraft
server, including commercial servers, PROVIDED that the server does
not violate the Prohibited Use clause below.
2. PROHIBITED USE
The Software, in original or modified form, may NOT be used on any
server that sells, or offers as a purchasable or otherwise
real-money-acquirable perk, any of the following:
a. Streak resets, streak-day skips, or streak-day grants;
b. Access to higher-tier or exclusive streak rewards;
c. Any reduction of the active-playtime requirement;
d. Any other gameplay advantage derived from or related to the
Software's streak-tracking or reward functionality.
This restriction applies regardless of the mechanism used to sell or
grant the perk, including but not limited to:
i. Direct real-money purchase on the server or a linked store;
ii. Purchase using virtual/in-game currency, points, or tokens,
where that currency is itself purchasable with real money,
OR is otherwise obtainable, directly or indirectly, through
any real-world financial transaction (including third-party
marketplaces, currency trading, boosting services, or
donation-for-currency schemes the server permits, endorses,
or fails to prohibit in its own rules);
iii. Inclusion as a component, bonus, or side benefit of a rank,
subscription, "VIP" tier, crate, key, battle pass, or any
other bundled package, regardless of whether the perk is
advertised as the primary item being sold; and
iv. Any other arrangement, direct or indirect, in which real-world
value changes hands in connection with obtaining the perk.
A server may not evade this clause by labeling the restricted perk
as a "bonus," "free gift," or "included feature" of a paid item —
what matters is whether the perk is obtainable as a practical
consequence of a real-money transaction, not how it is marketed.
3. REDISTRIBUTION AND FORKS
Redistribution of the Software, in original or modified form (including
forks), is permitted provided that:
a. This license text is included, unmodified, with any copy or
substantial portion of the Software;
b. Any modifications are clearly documented and attributed;
c. The Software is not sold, sublicensed, or bundled as part of a
paid product without prior written permission from the Author;
d. Downstream recipients receive their license directly from the
Author, and no redistributor — including a fork owner — has the
right to alter, waive, or grant exceptions to the terms of
Section 2.
4. CONTRIBUTIONS
By submitting a contribution (e.g. a pull request) to this project,
you agree that your contribution is licensed under this same license
and may be distributed as part of the Software. Contributing to the
Software does not make a contributor "the Author" for purposes of
this license, and does not grant any contributor the rights reserved
to the Author under Sections 3(c) and 8.
5. DEFINITIONS
"The Software" means the original code provided under this license,
together with any modifications, forks, ports, updates, add-ons, or
other derivative works built directly upon it or designed to
interoperate with it via its public API for the purpose of extending
or replicating its streak-tracking or reward functionality. A server
owner or developer may not avoid Section 2 by rewriting, renaming, or
substantially modifying the code, or by building a separate plugin
that interacts with the Software's API to deliver a restricted perk.
"The Author" means Ancient Web, the copyright holder identified at
the top of this document, and their successors or assigns (e.g. if
ownership of the project is formally transferred). It does not
include any individual contributor, maintainer, fork owner, or other
party, regardless of the size or significance of their contribution,
unless and until the Author formally transfers copyright ownership
to them in writing.
6. NO WARRANTY
THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND,
EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF
MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND
NONINFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY
CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY ARISING FROM THE USE OF THE
SOFTWARE.
7. TERMINATION AND CURE PERIOD
Any use of the Software in violation of Section 2 automatically
terminates the rights granted under this license. However, if the
licensee fully remedies the violation within fourteen (14) days of
receiving written notice from the Author, the rights granted under
this license shall be reinstated retroactively as of the date the
violation was cured. Repeated violations by the same licensee are not
guaranteed a further cure period and may result in permanent
termination at the Author's discretion.
8. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION
This license shall be governed by and construed in accordance with
the laws of [YOUR COUNTRY/STATE — e.g. "the State of Delaware, USA"
or "England and Wales"], without regard to its conflict of law
principles. Any legal action arising under this license shall be
brought exclusively in the courts located in [YOUR CITY/REGION].
For permissions beyond this license (e.g. commercial licensing for a
server that would otherwise violate Section 2), contact the Author
through the project's GitHub repository.
