BlockBash

A small Minigame where teams try to control Territories!

BlockBash is a plugin mainly for small servers, promoting groups of 2 or 3 players to compete in set areas against each other - to try and capture the most territory (in this case blocks) in a certain amount of time.

Admins are required to select an arena, place spawn points for the competitors then mark out certain 'capture points' that earn the teams points, in order to win the match. Scores and Current Statistics can be obtained by using a command, and/or using a MySQL database (Future Idea).

Players are required to run over blocks to convert them to their team colour, which earns them a point for each one they successfully capture. Enemy takeovers are worth two points. When entering an arena, players receive an special item used to knockback the enemy, however they do not deal any damage. Winning a game earns people a massive 100 points, however Losing deducts points depending on the point margin between the two teams.

This plugin is still Experimental, so many possible features may or may not have been left out of this summary. Future updates indicated by a changelog should suffice in giving more detail about this.

Usage

Example commands not necessarily the ones that are going to be used.

/bb - Main command
/bb help - Same as /bb
/bb vote - Vote to start a game
/bb join - Join a random game
/bb leave - Leave the current game
/bb create - Create the game with current setup (Missing parameters will be set to default)
/bb mark 1 - Mark first corner of arena
/bb mark 2 - Mark second corner of arena
/bb spawn 1 - Set Team 1 spawnpoint
/bb spawn 2 - Set Team 2 spawnpoint

Possible Future Features

Integration with several plugins:
- WorldEdit (Arena Creation)
- EssentialsEco, iConomy or Vault (For Awards [Wagers?])
- Multiworld support:
  - Automatic Arena Creation (for teh lazy people)
Highscores (Displayed in a Webpage or via a command
- Total Blocks captured
- Enemy Blocks captured
- Neutral Blocks captured
- Enemies bopped
- Blocks Lost
- Games Won
- Games Lost
- Games Drawn?
- Current Points
- Lifetime Points Earned? (Contained within the Shop system below)
Multiple Arenas running simultaneously

The following features may be implemented with a 'Shop' like system

Special abilities for players:
- Temporarily 'lock' an area for your team
- Revert an area back to Neutral
- 'Airstrikes' that bombard a random area and automatically switch the ownership of the blocks
- Teleporting and Stealthing items letting players get the upper hand on their opposition
