Description
Warning shots…
A small, lightweight resource pack that renames the vanilla Crossbow to "Warning shots…", giving one of Minecraft's most intimidating weapons a name with some attitude.
What it changes
- The Crossbow's item name becomes "Warning shots…" everywhere the game displays it:
- Your inventory and hotbar
- The item name popup when you switch to it on your hotbar
- The Creative inventory and search
- The recipe book / crafting screen
How it affects your gameplay
- Every time you pull out your crossbow, the game reminds you (and anyone watching your screen or stream) that things are about to get serious.
- It's a fun touch for PvP, roleplay servers, survival worlds with friends, or recording content. Pulling out "Warning shots…" before a fight just hits differently.
- Great for comedy moments: loading a fully charged crossbow labelled "Warning shots…" tells everyone it probably isn't one.
What stays the same
- The Crossbow's texture, model, stats, damage, enchantments and crafting recipe are completely unchanged.
- No gameplay mechanics are altered, so it's safe to use on any world or server without affecting balance.
- Crossbows you rename yourself with an anvil keep their custom names.
Compatibility
- Name-only change, so it works alongside almost any other resource pack or texture pack. If another pack also renames the Crossbow, whichever pack is higher in your list wins.
