Hey guys here's to a new update right before the new year! Ending 2025 on a strong one. This update addresses a few issues from the previous version and makes a few tweaks as well as adds a very highly requested addition.

Vanilla Reforged V1.3.4

General

  • Added 4 new subpacks
    • Advanced PBR - the default look of Vanilla Reforged
    • Advanced PBR - Flat Water - Vanilla reforged but with the vanilla VV water normal
    • Basic - no custom pbr
    • Basic - Flat Water - no custom pbr and waves disabled

This addition was highly requested for months so here you go. this will make dev harder for me but consider this a gift

  • Reorganized files to support the new subpacks

Lighting

  • Adjusted lighting to be more netural during the morning - noon
  • Reduced saturation of the sunrise and sunset colors to feel less intense
  • Adjusted ambient lighting intensity to be a bit darker to have less influence over nighttime colors
  • adjusted moonlight color
  • Adjusted the ambient skylight color to me more blue shifted
  • Reduced skylight intensity from 0.65-0.45
  • Slightly tweaked sun intensities for a more pronounced "golden hour" during sunset
  • Overhauled the end lighting

Atmosphere

  • Tweaked the sky colors during the day-noon to be more colorful without being over-saturated
  • Reduced overall saturation of the sunset sky to be more natural
  • Reduced rayleigh scattering at all times of day
  • Adjusted fogs for the jungle, roofed forest, plains and forest biomes
  • Adjusted intensity of the sky in the end to be darker

Color-Grading

  • Tweaked contrast and saturation values for more even colors
  • Fixed an issue that caused color grading to not correctly apply in the end

Water

  • Slightly adjusted water waves

Textures

  • Improved the mers and normals for endstone and end stone bricks
  • Reduced roughness on water for more clear cloud reflections
