Atmospheric Haze is a specialized Resource Pack designed to completely overhaul the visual atmosphere of Minecraft Bedrock Edition. Unlike standard fog settings, this pack utilizes a custom skybox replacement technique to create a dense, suffocating fog that limits visibility and amplifies tension.
✨ Key Features
Custom Skybox Fog: Instead of relying on vanilla render distances which can look artificial, this pack replaces the skybox texture itself. This creates a seamless, solid wall of grey mist that feels physically present in the world.
Zero Visibility Horizon: The horizon line is completely obscured, creating a sense of isolation and claustrophobia even in open biomes.
Performance Friendly: By using simple texture replacements rather than heavy shader scripts, this pack maintains high FPS on most mobile and PC devices.
Horror Optimized: Specifically tuned for horror add-ons. Monsters emerging from this specific shade of grey are significantly more terrifying than in vanilla lighting.
📦 Compatibility & Installation
Type: Resource Pack (Texture Pack) only. No Behavior Pack included.
Platform: Minecraft Bedrock Edition (Windows 10/11, Mobile, Console).
Installation:
Download the .mcpack file.
Open with Minecraft to import.
Go to World Settings -> Resource Packs -> Activate "Atmospheric Haze".
(Optional) Pair with my Siren Head Add-on for the intended experience.
⚠️ Known Issues / Notes
Because this pack modifies the skybox, it may conflict with other Resource Packs that also modify sky textures (e.g., True Darkness, specific shader packs).
For the best experience, set your Render Distance to at least 12 chunks.
