Lighting

 

- Animated skylight intensity. Produced more contrast from sunset to sunrise.
- Tweaked skylight color.
- Animated the ambient light color and brightness in caves (also affects skylight color at night).
- Improved sunlight/moonlight brightness and color at all times of day.
- Smoother transition from sunset to sunrise. Sky and clouds no longer become suddenly lit at sunrise.
- Improved ambient light and endflash color in the End biome.
- Added lighting settings for Swamp, cold biomes, and Lush caves.
- Fixed the color mismatches with sky color and sunrise/sunset lighting.
- Improved color combinations with sky color and clouds' surface color.
- Improved auto-exposure in nether biomes.
 

Sky

 

- Tweaked horizon blend height at all times of day.
- Tweaked sun glare shape and mie scattering intensity from sunset to sunrise.
- Tweaked sky color at all times of day.
- Improved sky color transitions from sunrise to sunset.
- Improved sky color of Desert, Cherry grove, Nether biomes, Swamp, and End biome.
- Added sky config for Taiga, Cherry Grove, and cold biomes.

 

Color-Grading

 

- Added color grading settings for Cherry Grove, Taiga, Lush caves, and Jungle biome.
- Tweaked global color grading to be softer.
- Improved color grading of the Nether biomes, Desert, Pale garden, and End biome.
 

Water

 

- Improved water wave and caustics.
- Improved sky reflection visibility on water.
- Added water settings for pale garden and lush cave.
- Improved underwater lighting.
- Improved water colors for general water, Swamp, and Desert biome.

 

Volumetric Fog / Fog

 

- Volumetric Fog can now be rendered across all heights.
- Improved the fog color to blend better with sky color in all biomes.
- Removed forest and savanna fog.
- Lowered Volumetric Fog density when raining.
- Tweaked the distance of fog when it's raining for more foggy look.
- Improved Fog distance in nether biomes for better survival experiences.
 

Textures / PBR

 

Textures

- Adjusted clouds' surface color.
- Improved size of the sun and rotation.
- Removed custom moon texture.
- Improved opacity and color of rain.
- Set the custom AO intensity for oak leaves and birch leaves.
- Increased the mipmap level from 1 to 4.
- Fixed an issue where a lot of textures' alpha channel was not saved properly, causing them to glow.

 

> DEV'S NOTE: I will focus on PBR after this update.

 

PBR

- Added normalmaps option. This is still in early development, so many textures' look may be subject to change, and more blocks will be supported after this update.
> Vanilla+
- Added custom metallic material PBR and SSS.
> Heightmap
- Added support for more blocks and entities, items (swords), and all armors.
- Improved smooth material and metallic materials' PBR.
> Normalmaps(Default)
- Blocks that are not supported still have heightmaps. This will be fixed in the next version.

 

- Improved the SSS(Subsurface-Scattering) gradients or shape of shortgrass, deadbush, tall/short dry grass, tall/short fern, flowers, sand/redsand, and sugar cane.
- Significantly lowered the brightness of blocks that emit lights for better auto-exposure response and texture visibility.
- Added texture animations for copper torch and soul torch.
- Not important though, still water texture now uses .tga instead of vanilla .png and customized color.

 

Colored Lights

 

- Set the custom color for all blocks.
- Tweaked colors softer and less intense.

 

Misc

 

- Added a license file.
