=Changes=

Music:

  • Festive music now replaces all biome-specific music in the Overworld and Nether (except the deep dark, which is now silent)
  • Added an optional "Varied Music" subpack to extend the Mash-up soundtrack with vanilla music that matches the festive mood

Environment:

  • Water now stays semitransparent at a distance
  • Water now uses accurate colors in biomes added after Buzzy Bees:
    • Water colors for biomes that were removed in 1.18 were repurposed for new biomes.
    • Nether Wastes -> Crimson Forest, Warped Forest, Soul Sand Valley, Basalt Deltas
    • Extreme Hills Mutated -> Meadow
    • Cold Taiga Hills -> Grove
    • Cold Taiga Mutated -> Snowy Slopes

    • The unique cover decorations on white and green beds (added in the Bedrock Edition Festive Mash-up port) have been preserved.
  • Tamed Wolves no longer have their collar bells dyed along with the collar
  • Blazes, Glow Squids, and Magma Cubes now have directional shading (Thanks, lionhead07 on Discord!)
  • Magma Cube texture is now compatible with the updated model

Blocks:

  • Jungle logs, glowstone, lit redstone lamps, and sea lanterns are now animated
  • Adjusted animation speeds and frame blending to mostly match Console Edition
    • A few animations are different than Legacy Console Edition to improve the in-game appearance:
      • Seagrass: Removed frame blending
      • Stonecutter: Removed frame blending
      • Campfires: Removed frame blending
      • Soul Lantern: Adjusted speed and brightness to match normal lanterns
  • Leaves, snow, clay, sand, sandstone, terracotta, dirt path, netherrack, magma, glowstone, obsidian, deepslate, sponge, and concrete powder no longer randomly rotate
  • Sand, obsidian, leaves, and the respawn anchor now have the same shading and ambient occlusion as Console Edition
  • Sugar cane no longer has biome tinting (Thanks, lionhead07 on Discord!)
  • Carried, opaque, and distant leaves now use the same colors as Console Edition
    • Opaque leaves have been adjusted compared to their Console Edition counterparts so that the non-transparent part matches normal leaves.
    • Opaque azalea, mangrove, cherry, and pale oak leaves have been given unique fill colors to match other leaves.
  • Leaves no longer have mip_fade_color overlays in the Festive Mash-up world
  • Updated distant kelp to have less obvious borders
    • Console Edition kelp textures had color data in the transparent pixels. The transparent color data has been restored as the LOD texture. It was slightly modified to remove white portions.
  • Lightning rod texture is now mapped onto the model correctly
  • Soul torch texture pattern now matches normal torches
  • Structure void now matches PS4 Edition

Items:

  • Map textures now match Console Edition
  • Locked map texture now applies correctly in-game
  • Potion and tipped arrow textures now exactly match Console Edition (Thanks, alfombracitarioj on Discord!)
    • Jump Boost uses a unique purple color, like the original pack
  • Potion particle colors now match the textures
  • Sugar cane, brewing stand, campfire, and dried kelp items now match PS4 Edition
  • Bucket of Cod now uses the Festive Mash-up Cod design instead of the vanilla design
  • Soul lantern item now uses the same hook design as the normal lantern
  • Dark Oak Boat with Chest now has the same chest design as other chest boats
  • Lead rope colors now match Console Edition

  • Auto save icon now uses Festive chest and arrow textures like Console Edition
  • Highlighted slot background is now the same color as Console Edition
  • Bundle storage bar outline now matches other UI textures
  • The empty enchantment table lapis slot now matches lapis instead of blue dye
  • Added smithing table, crafter, and locator bar UI textures in the Festive style
  • Hotbar start and end caps are now the correct opacity
  • Ambient status effect backgrounds are now green with a red border
  • Pocket screens are no longer missing textures
  • Removed empty air bubble texture
  • Minecoins are now silver
  • The New Offer icon now matches the Festive theme
  • The hover texture for the checkmark in the resource pack menu now matches the Festive theme

  • An optional subpack that adds more songs from the Minecraft soundtrack to the Festive Mash-up

=Compatibility=

  • Copper torch flame particles are no longer invisible
  • Added animated block shading compatibility for Aspects packs
  • Added stone, deepslate, bedrock, and sculk texture variant compatibility for Java Aspects
  • Added main menu panorama textures for Console Aspects
  • Vex textures are no longer broken when using Console Aspects
  • Item icons are now match the Festive textures when using Aspects Item Icons
  • Bundle UI slot background and highlight textures are now compatible with Aspects

=Pack=

=Notes=

  • The Festive Mash-up Patch only works when applied above the Festive Mash-up.
  • The spawn egg, potion, and tipped arrow textures in this update were made possible by Alfombra's MinecraftTool, a new program to quickly render textures from templates. It can handle potions, tipped arrows, spawn eggs, and any other texture set you want to configure. Check out Alfombra's MinecraftTool here: https://github.com/Alfombracitario/Alfombra-s-MinecraftTool/releases
  • Lily pads should not be tinted in the Festive Mash-up (their tint on Console Edition is pure white, #FFFFFF). However, there is no way to disable lily pad tinting on Bedrock Edition.
  • The default leather armor color should be red (#D93434) to match Console Edition, except for leather horse armor. However, there is no way to change the default leather armor tint on Bedrock.
  • The leather horse armor item does not have white trims on Console Edition, since they are dyed as part of the leather. The leather horse armor with white trims from the Bedrock port of the Festive Mash-up was preserved as it is more accurate to the equipped armor texture.
  • The campfire flame animation has a duplicate frame on Console Edition. This frame was already fixed in the Bedrock port of the Festive Mash-up.
  • In the vanilla game, leaves become bright white during snowfall. This cannot be disabled by resource packs, even though Festive leaves already have snow on them. This issue causes the leaves to look brighter during snowfall.
