Why are there so many layering (weird sounds)?
Since this is a sound pack, there are quite a few limitations on how it works. Layering sounds are common.
Does it work like the original mod?
It just a sound resource pack, maybe more.

Make sure this pack is on the top of your texture packs section also mod resources too, also check your volume for sure.
Version compatible?
Compatible from 1.13 all the way to lasted, and Bedrock Edition(port), and will not work in snapshots/vanilla versions. (Read the Dependency)
