Custom Background Creator 3.0

Version 3.0 delivers a redesigned editor, a more reliable import and export workflow, and safer image handling for Minecraft Bedrock resource packs.

Highlights

• Redesigned the home screen and editor while preserving the Minecraft-inspired visual style.
• Added a clearer responsive layout for desktop and mobile devices.
• Improved the 16:9 live preview and made selected backgrounds fill it without distortion.
• Replaced missing and externally hosted interface images with self-contained controls.

Image workflow

• Added background and title-logo drag-and-drop support.
• Added keyboard-accessible upload areas.
• Added validation for PNG, JPG, WEBP, and GIF files up to 25 MB.
• Added selected-file details plus controls to replace or remove the background.
• Backgrounds now use proportional center cropping instead of being stretched.
• Title logos now retain their proportions and transparent padding during export.
• Pack icons continue to use an automatic centered square crop.

Import and export

• Fixed project metadata recovery when importing an existing .mcpack.
• Added persistence for title alignment and button-background style.
• Disabled export until a valid background has been selected.
• Added validation when image-title mode is enabled without a logo.
• Sanitized generated filenames for safer downloads.
• Improved image-processing errors and export status messages.
• Updated generated pack and module versions to 3.0.0.

Accessibility and security

• Added labels, status announcements, focus styles, and keyboard interactions.
• Improved the mobile preview so menu elements remain readable on small screens.
• Removed the unused remote-image proxy and its insecure SSL configuration.
• Removed fragile third-party image dependencies from the interface preview.

Compatibility

• Minecraft Bedrock minimum engine version remains 1.21.0.
• Projects exported by earlier versions can still be imported and upgraded to 3.0.
