JUST A DREAM.

Alpha Dreams is a nostalgic Minecraft Bedrock resource pack inspired by the early days of Minecraft, Alpha, Beta and the classic Pocket Edition era.

The project began as Old Craft, but evolved far beyond its original concept. Alpha Dreams aims to recreate the atmosphere, colors, textures and visual identity of old Minecraft while keeping the pack playable on modern Bedrock versions.

 ✦ What is Alpha Dreams?

Alpha Dreams is more than just an old-style texture pack.

The goal is to make modern Minecraft feel like a forgotten version of the game, combining classic textures, old Pocket Edition aesthetics, retro interfaces, nostalgic sounds and other details inspired by Minecraft's early history.

The pack currently includes two different visual experiences:

Alpha Textures

A visual style inspired by Minecraft's early Alpha era.

This subpack focuses on the simpler, rougher and more experimental appearance of early Minecraft, with classic-looking textures, old colors and a more primitive atmosphere.

Beta Textures

A separate visual style inspired by Minecraft Beta and the classic Pocket Edition era.

Beta Textures features its own block textures, color maps, menu panoramas and other visual differences, creating a more colorful and recognizable old-school Pocket Edition feeling.

Switching between Alpha and Beta changes more than a few textures. Each subpack is designed to represent a different period of Minecraft's visual history.

✦ A Different Kind of Nostalgia

Alpha Dreams does not try to recreate one specific Minecraft version perfectly.

Instead, it explores the feeling of remembering Minecraft from years ago.

Alpha represents the early, experimental days.

Beta represents the colorful era that many players experienced through early Minecraft and Pocket Edition.

The result is a mixture of old textures, modern Minecraft and memories from different periods of the game's history.

Alpha Dreams is an evolving project.

The current 1.0.4 release marks the transition from Days At The Origins into the Alpha Dreams era and introduces the Alpha and Beta subpack system, expanded legacy textures, retro controls, new UI elements, custom panoramas and many other changes.

More content is planned for future updates, including additional legacy models, sounds, interface elements and a Modern subpack designed to reinterpret newer Minecraft content through the Alpha Dreams aesthetic.
