Description
🔁 Rewind by Death – Re:Zero Inspired System
Rewind by Death is a Minecraft mod inspired by Re:Zero, introducing a true Return by Death mechanic with full world rollback and multiplayer support.
When a player dies, time itself is forced to rewind. The world returns to a previously saved checkpoint, restoring the state of players, entities, blocks, items, time, and weather as if the fatal moment never happened.
This is not a simple respawn system. Death has weight, memory, and consequences.
✨ Core Features
Return by Death system
When a player dies, the entire world rewinds to the moment of the last checkpoint.
Individual checkpoints
Each player has their own checkpoint, but if one player dies, all players are pulled back to the checkpoint of the one who died, just like in Re:Zero.
Multiplayer compatible
Designed from the ground up to work in multiplayer worlds without duplication, desync, or exploits.
Full world rollback
Player position, inventory, health, hunger, effects
World time and weather
Blocks placed or destroyed after the checkpoint
Dropped items
Mobs spawned or killed after the checkpoint
Safe teleport system
Players are returned to safe positions to avoid suffocation or instant death after the rewind.
Immersive feedback
Death message announcing the return
Screen effects on revival
Particles and sound effects on death and rewind
🧠 Designed With Limits in Mind
This mod pushes Minecraft’s scripting capabilities to their limits while remaining stable and performant.
Rollback operations are processed in controlled batches to avoid lag or world freezes, even in large worlds.
🎮 Gameplay Philosophy
Death is no longer a reset.
It is a rewind.
Every mistake echoes.
Every checkpoint matters.
And survival means remembering what the world forgets.
