Bug Fixes

Generation

Indoor:

  • Reduced generation time by 5x :D
  • Generation is more consistent and less buggy
  • Decreased likelihood of doorways leading into void
  • Rooms no longer generate behind fire exits
  • Fixed doors generating much less than intended
  • Fixed rooms overlapping main entrance
  • If map generation fails, it will automatically restart
  • Fixed west-facing fire exits facing north instead
  • Fixed mines & turrets spawning distribution. They should not spawn at the main entrance
  • Increased randomness of scrap spawning
  • Improved fire exit spawning. They should spawn more reliably and be not so close to main/each other
  • Facility tiles:
    • Removed collision of 1 railing on the upper level corner of stair tile so that mobs can pathfind better
    • Scrap can no longer spawn in hallway tiles

Outdoor:

  • Removed tree shadows. Trees now use blocks for collision
  • Removed company bell entity shadow
  • Sky is now darker at the company building
  • Fixed inactive Old Bird daytime spawns

Scrap

  • Fixed clown horn model misalignment

Ship / Dropship

  • Removed ship entity shadow
  • Door open/close sound no longer replays whenever ship is loaded in
  • Fixed quota particle appearing during ship landing/leaving cutscene

    • The Company Monster attack animations now play
    • Fixed company monster not collecting scrap after killing a player

    • AI Rework: It can no longer turn as quickly, making it much more likely to hit walls when charging.

Gameplay

    • Entities can only spawn up to the max count, instead of max count number of entities can exist at the same time.
  • Fixed flashlight overlay staying on player when they die/ship leaves/snare flea attaches on them
  • Fixed battery bar not clearing on reset

UI

Blocks

  • Floor grate collision is smaller now
  • Fixed mines double exploding
  • Slightly increased mine kill range (4 blocks -> 5 blocks)

Terminal

  • Removed 'Storage' and ‘Bestiary’ from help menu as they don’t actually work.
  • Removed moons and equipment from the terminal that are not added in game.

New Features & Improvements

Balance Changes

  • Slightly nerfed player movement speed (Base 0.0825 -> 0.0823)
  • Slightly nerfed Bunker Spider movement speed (-0.02)
  • Slightly buffed player sneaking movement speed (+0.035)
  • Increased shovel range (2 -> 3)
  • Increased frequency of lightning strikes on metallic items (10-25s -> 10-17s)
  • Made it easier to get a higher grade in Performance Report
  • Circuit Bee Nerfs:
    • Slight movement speed nerf
    • Decreased sight range (12 -> 11 blocks)
    • 8s anger cooldown after chasing for 8s
  • Slightly nerfed indoor darkness overlay (a bit brighter now)

QOL Improvements

  • New way to drop items:
    • Sneak + Look down + Punch to drop items (good for mobile/controllers)
  • Increased speed for interacting with stuff for non-keyboard players (mobile, console, etc.)
  • Scanning now creates a very small burst of light
  • Added Arachnophobia Mode
    • Type "arachnophobia" or "ara" in the terminal to toggle arachnophobia mode.
    • Changes Bunker Spider model to be more user friendly :)
  • Added Scan command in ship
    • Scans for objects outside the ship
  • Added statistics from the previous game after getting fired.
    • Shows days on the job, total scrap value collected, total deaths and quotas fulfilled
  • Added a reset item on the final hotbar slot
    • Interact & Hold to reset the map. Fully resets all progress.

    • -20% of credits per death
    • -8% if body recovered
  • Improved jump disabling when low stamina
