THIS IS JUST A PASSION PROJECT/SIDE PROJECT THAT I WANTED TO MAKE FROM THE GAME FRANCHISE THAT I LOVE SO MUCH (Call Of Duty)
ALL CREDIT GOES TO Activision FOR SOUNDS
The year is 1963 and you've stumbled across an abandoned German theater-turned-research facility. It's quiet at first, but then you hear groans and screams as you realize why they abandoned it and what exactly it was that was being researched. Lucky for you, they left some stuff behind for you to use to your advantage. How far will you get and how much will you challenge yourself?
This is a “recreation” of the classic COD zombies experience: Kino Der Toten, the fifth zombies map ever in a Call of Duty. To many, including myself, this was their first zombies map they ever played. I still remember being too scared to play by my self for a whole year XD. Luckily, this recreation is friendly enough for anyone to play. It includes buyable areas, buyable wall weapons and equipment, a working and movable “Mystery Box”, a working power system, buyable perks, working traps, a teleporter, Pack a Punch, Hellhounds, Nova Crawlers, a “revive/respawn” system, a lobby spawn room to ready up before the start of a game, and a few small Easter Eggs similar to the ones from the original map! Play alone or with friends to combat the undead.
Things to Know:
NOVA CRAWLERS: Since Kino der Toten was the first map to introduce this enemy type, it would be rude of me not to include them. The crawler uses an identical mob type as the cave spider from Minecraft. when it attacks you, it temporarily poisons you. The poison duration depends on the difficulty of the game while your are playing. The crawlers frequently spawn after turning on power just like in the actual game. If you can, deal with them as soon as possible otherwise you might get surprised by a group of them while trying to fight off a horde of zombies.
SEPERATE TELEPORTATION ROOMS: When you teleport to Pack a Punch, you will stay in the projector room for about 1 minute. After that 1 minute, each player will then be teleported to a separate room just like in the actual map. These room are, the Conference Room, the Dentist Room, Samantha's Room, and Evil Samantha's Room. The player will only be in these rooms for 10 seconds before being teleported back to the map. While in the room, look out for any film reels!
FILM REELS: Just like how in Kino Der Toten, there are film reel that you can pick up and put into the protector when you teleport to Pack a Punch, you can also do that in the map. The film reels are records and they spawn randomly in the rooms each person teleports to after being in Pack a Punch, but before teleporting back to spawn. There are a total of 3 unique film reels to listen to in the map.
MYSTERY BOX LOCATION: Kino Der Toten is unique because, since the map takes place mainly indoors, the light beam that the Mystery Box gives off is useless. In order to get around this, Kino has a board with a layout of the map at each possibly box location to show where the box is currently at. You must first turn on power in order to have to board show where the box is at. Once power is on, look at the board and find the green "HERE" on the sign right under it's location name. Each location is labeled. There are a total of 9 possible Mystery Box locations on the map.
THUNDER GUN: This map introduced a new (and overpowered) Wonder Weapon: the Thunder Gun. I did my best to make it just as overpowered, but with a twist. You fire it like a bow or fishing rod and it destroys anything around it (even you if you're not careful). It's great for crowed clearing and has "infinite ammo", but I highly recommend you use it at a distance unless you want to find out what that twist is.
*THERE ARE NO ACTUAL GUNS ON THE MAP! It is worth noting that the weapons are just the regular tools/weapons from Minecraft, just renamed like the ones from COD. For Example, the “Colt M1911” is an enchanted pickaxe.*
