Vanilla Shields

Have you wondered why there is only one shield in Minecraft? With this addon you can craft multiple shields from different materials, exactly how we expected Mojang to add them.

Features

Adds multiple craftable shields: Netherite, Diamond, Golden, Copper, Wooden

Balanced for survival gameplay and designed not to replace the default Minecraft shield

Shields stats

1. Netherite Shield

Durability: 812

Extra knockback on attackers

Fire resistant (can not be burned in lava/fire)

2. Diamond Shield

Durability: 632

Extra knockback on attackers (less than netherite)

3. Golden Shield

Durability: 92

Faster use (almost instant)

4. Copper Shield

Durability: 230

Blocks 95% of damage (so it does not replace the iron shield)

5. Wooden Shield

Durability: 122

Blocks 80% of damage

Faster to use (less effective than gold)

Note

–You can use any planks/logs you want — the images use oak, but any mix of planks and logs will work the same.

– those custom shields can not be added to any banner due to a technical limitations

Fixed an issue where all shields were ignoring their individual stats (damage reduction, warmup delay, knockback, sounds) and using fallback default values instead.
