Universe SMP

Universe SMP is a structured survival enhancement that introduces permanent faction assignment with strict population limits. The system is designed to create long-term balance, exclusivity, and competitive tension within multiplayer worlds.

This addon modifies survival gameplay by locking players into factions upon first join, enforcing capacity limits, and providing each faction with a unique active ability.

This is not standard survival. This is controlled faction balance.

Core System

When a player joins the world for the first time, they are permanently and randomly assigned to one of four factions:

Sinner

Divines

Mortals

Vanguards

Each faction has a fixed maximum capacity. Once a faction reaches its player limit, it becomes permanently full and cannot accept additional members.

Faction assignment is permanent. Players cannot switch factions after being assigned.

Faction limits are tracked globally and remain enforced throughout the life of the world.

Faction Limits

Each faction has a strict maximum number of members. When the limit is reached:

No additional players can join that faction.

New players are assigned from the remaining available factions.

If all factions reach maximum capacity, no further assignments will occur.

This system ensures structured population distribution and long-term world balance.

Skill System

Each faction includes one primary active ability.

Primary skills:

Are manually activated.

Have a defined cooldown period.

Display status in the action bar.

Show ACTIVE duration when in use.

Show remaining cooldown time after expiration.

Display READY when available.

Cooldowns are tracked individually per player.

Action Bar Display

The mod includes a live skill display system that shows:

Skill name

Active duration

Cooldown timer

Ready status

The display updates efficiently and avoids unnecessary refreshes for performance stability.

How To Use Skills

1. Join the world and receive your permanent faction assignment.

2. Use your faction ability when it is available.

3. Monitor the action bar for active time and cooldown status.

4. Wait for the cooldown to finish before activating again.

Skills cannot be used while on cooldown.
