True Carnage

Introduction

This is an add-on that adds a LOT of hostile monsters to the game. You either flee and take refuge or slay them all. The add-on will feature more than 100 unique monsters and they all want a piece of you. From the tiniest critters to the monstrous monoliths, they'll stop at nothing to hunt you down.

Important Notes

You need to activate these toggles for your world in order for the add-on to work properly:

  • Upcoming Creator Features (some mobs use actor properties)
  • Beta APIs (some mobs and items use scripting)

Combat Mode

Combat mode has been added to True Carnage v1.2! You can enter it by sneaking and interacting with the weapon. This will allow you to deal more damage than spam-clicking. Select a skilland interact with it. Note that the damage will be dealt within the skill's circle. To exit, just interact with the "Exit" item.

Swordstaff range

Some weapons have a dash mechanic. Some damage happens before the dash, and some of them happen after the dash. To know the difference, you'll see that attempting to look up and down will change the skill's range. This means the damage happens after the dash.

Mob Combat

Using this add-on will transform your Minecraft experience from normal into kill-or-be-killed! That said, monsters fighting each other will become a problem if we take multiplier-type mobs and mob drops into account. So I added an option in the behavior pack where you can choose between "Mobs FFA" (mobs fight each other) and "Players Beware" (mobs target only players). This was a highly demanded feature :)

Additional Notes

Mobs

There are currently 103 mobs in the add-on (not including inanimate entities like projectiles and effects). More mobs will be added at a later date to ensure quality. Most mobs from the previous versions will be added. "Most" means that some mobs will be replaced if they aren't cut for the quality. As of the 1.1.0 update, all monsters spawn naturally now.

Items

Most items don't have functionality. I'll think of a use for them.

Blocks

A few blocks have been added. All of them are decorative.

Structures, Biomes, and Dimensions

The add-on won't feature this content until further improvements to the generation engine are actualized. Structures have already been built, biomes have are already planned, and dimensions have been conceptualized. Implementation is foggy.
