Recipes:

To begin with, we must know that this addon is not designed to be easy, if there is something you will have for sure is that you are going to suffer.

Purified water :

For purified water, which will be our main tool to survive the first steps of the addon, we will have to heat normal water in bottles.

Once heated in an oven, smoker or any campfire, we will obtain a bottle of purified water which will quench 0.5 bars of thirst [Mechanics explained in Mechanics].

Canteen :

the canteen will be our reliable tool to carry water everywhere, so it will be essential to craft it as soon as possible. To do this, we will first need to create the canteen pouch, which requires tanned leather, it is made with a flint and a leather.

Once we have obtained the tanned leather, we will proceed to craft the canteen bag with 4 tanned leather, 4 thread and an iron nugget.

To craft the canteen, we will need a filter which is essential when purifying water, it is made with one of charcoal, 2 of paper and 2 wheat seeds.

With this, we can finally craft our canteen. With 4 thread, 3 iron nuggets, a filter and the unsewed canteen we craft the canteen.

Purify the water:

We already have our canteen, it is time to use it to survive, for this we will fill it with water bottles, this canteen will allow us to carry 3 sips of water. You should know that the more the canteen is damaged the less water you can carry.

We refill our canteen (in this case we will not need a filter because we already added it when we created it, but you will need them to continue using the canteen and the metal thermos).

Once filled, we will not be able to drink the water, so we will have to clean it by putting it in an oven, smoker or campfire.

Metal thermos :

As an advanced gameplay item, we have added the metal thermos, which will allow you to carry up to 8 drinks and will not suffer any damage when purifying water, although it will not be so easy to get it.

Mechanics:

Thirst :

Thirst, as its name suggests, will be a bar that will keep us attentive to our survival. You have 10 predetermined thirst bars, which will gradually decrease until you die of thirst.

Dehydration time:

It will take you approximately 11 minutes to die of dehydration, but if you keep a good water administration it will not be a problem for you.

Hydrated :

The Hydrated status will indicate that you are sufficiently hydrated, you can continue drinking water but we recommend you to stay in this state whenever possible, if you hydrate too much bad things will happen.

Over hydrated :

When you drink a little more than your body can handle, you will get a little nauseous due to all the water your body has to process, but in a few moments you will be back to normal.

Water body :

If you don't mind drinking too much water then you will have a serious problem, in this state your body can no longer handle so much water in your body so you will get sick, little by little your life will be reduced to one of two ends; you will either die from water or your body will stabilize.

Damaged objects :

Don't think it will be so easy, you will have to keep something to carry water with you on the adventure, as bottles cannot be stacketed and canteens can break with use. you must always have something on hand to quench your thirst.

Thirst bar regeneration:

As always, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. In order not to die of thirst you will have to constantly replenish your thirst bar, for this there are different items that will help you survive, some better than others.

Information:

Thirst cure :

Each item will indicate in its description how much of your thirst bar will be regenerated, take this into account in order to manage your water consumption.

</figure> Filter :

The objects will indicate in their description if they have a filter, you can identify them as follows: <mark class="pen-red">RED</mark> if it has no filter, <mark class="pen-green">GREEN</mark> if it has a filter. This will help you to know if you need a filter to purify the water.

Dirty water :

If the container has dirty water, you will not be able to drink it, you must first clean it by heating it in a heat source (ovens, smokers or campfires).

Sips :

You won't be able to drink infinite water (obviously), so you have to keep an eye on how much you have left in your container, if you run out of water you'd better get water fast.
