# Stellar Remote: Orbital Strikes
Ever wanted to call down a strike from space? Point the Stellar Remote at the ground, pick your weapon, and watch the sky answer. This add-on adds four orbital weapons, an optional cutscene that flies you through the solar system, and craters that crack apart and crumble instead of just disappearing.
**Bedrock Edition only.** This won't work on Java.
## How it works
Craft the Stellar Remote and aim at the ground. Right-click to open a menu where you can choose your weapon, tweak the settings, or turn the cutscene on and off. If you've already set things up how you like them, sneak and right-click to fire straight away.
## The four weapons
**Railgun:** A huge orbital railgun charges up out past Saturn and fires. It leaves one big bowl-shaped crater with a raised rim.
**Gungnir:** A golden spear circles Jupiter, then breaks away and comes down as a rocket you can watch the whole way in. It punches a deep pit into the ground, with cracks spreading outward and the spear left standing in the middle.
**Tesseract:** A giant spinning hypercube folds into the ground and leaves a perfectly square hole with a crystal hypercube floating inside.
**Seven Sisters:** Seven named stars fall one after another in the shape of the Pleiades. Each one leaves its own crater.
## The cutscene
When it's on, the camera rides the laser up into space, flies past a few planets, shows off your weapon, and then follows it down for the impact. It's short, and if you'd rather skip it, one tap turns it off and the strike just happens in the world while you keep playing.
## The ground doesn't just vanish
I didn't want the crater to appear all at once. When a strike hits, glowing cracks race outward, the surface loosens up, and then the ground breaks down in stages, with dust and rumbling the whole way. You can set it to slow, medium, or instant.
## Settings
- Damage tier: Standard, Category 100 (100-block radius), or Category 200 (200-block radius, the strongest)
- Impact size for the Standard tier
- Cutscene on or off
- How fast the ground collapses
- Lethal blast zone on or off
- Full or fast space journey
## Getting started
1. Download the file and open it with Minecraft. It imports on its own.
2. Make a world and turn on both the behavior pack and the resource pack.
3. Turn on Beta APIs under Experiments.
4. Craft the remote, or type `/give @s rail:stellar_remote`.
5. Aim at the ground (within 120 blocks) and right-click.
**Recipe:** netherite ingots down the left and right columns, with a spyglass, a redstone block, and an eye of ender down the middle.
## Things worth knowing
- It only works in the Overworld.
- During the cutscene the time of day is set to noon for a few seconds, then put back. If you're playing with friends, they'll see that happen.
- Category 200 is very heavy. Use a high render distance, and try Category 100 first. Blocks outside your loaded chunks won't break.
- Strikes can wipe out big areas and kill players and mobs, so back up your world first.
- If something ever gets stuck, type `/scriptevent rail:cleanup`.
## Compatibility
Made for the newest versions of Minecraft Bedrock Edition. If you run into a script version error or anything else that doesn't work on your version, let me know in the comments and tell me which version you're on so I can fix it.
## Credits
Inspired by the Shooting Star mod on Java. Everything in this add-on, including the models, textures and code, was made from scratch for Bedrock.
