REEKER'S BEHAVIORS
This section will explain
Reeker's Behaviors including
other additional informations..
Spoilers ahead!
As it's mentioned in the description,
it's a creature like no other..
It's very protective against those
who threatens or hurt innocent lives.
HOW DOES IT MIMIC PHYSICAL SOUNDS?
The Reeker will repeat a sound that a player made with a short delay to ensure that the player has a chance to actually hear it, this can be useful as it indicates if the creature is nearby..
The Reeker will mimic the sound of player when breaking blocks or placing them..
(Note: in the future updates I planned to add more besides blocks like opening doors, chests, etc)
EXAMPLE CLIP:
MORE ABOUT ITS BEHAVIORS:
1. Aggressiveness
In the start, the Reeker tends to stalk players not as a way to attack
but to observe..
It's a very curious creature so it
tends to watch over to see if
the player is an ally or an enemy.
2. Threat level
For the Reeker it doesn't like
to see players wearing heavy or
any kind of powerful equipments..
For him this means that the player
is an enemy who seeks power..
Example:
If you have 2 iron swords in your
inventory then it is still counted, this
increases your threat levels..
Any kinds of Armor,tools
and weapons are counted either
it's equiped or not.
Now what's the (Threat levels)?
The Threat levels is a hidden level
that Reeker detects..
Players with Higher threat levels
are more targeted. (In multiplayer)
The Reeker will get threatened by
only two Actions.
3. Gears and kills
As it's mentioned before, the
Reeker doesn't like players with
powerful equipments
And also the Reeker doesn't like
when Animals are killed, this
makes him more aggressive..
this includes villagers, animals,and
most importantly Baby's..
If anyone would do such a thing
this will immediately anger him
more..
So don't!
3. The Butterfly
You might see them around
as you play..
so what they're supposed to do?
These butterflies are bugs that is
attracted to (Reeking smells)..
So if you ever see them you might
wanna look around..-
You can say that they're like
warning that the Reeker is coming
or somewhere near..
4. Butterfly Colors
Now pay attention!
The Butterfly has multiple colors
and they're actually useful!
If you see yellow butterflies
then you are safe..
But if the colors changes then
your threat levels is increasing..
So basically the butterflies are
also an Indicator..
Yellow - Safe
Green - Stalks more than Usual
Orange - Might attack
Purple - Appears more often
Red - You're an enemy
Now there's a chance you might
not able to see them
but at least it lets you know at
some point what levels you're in.
The Brown butterfly is different,it
appears when the Reeker goes
away.. (Sometimes)
5. Stalking Behaviors
There's multiple stalking
behaviors for the Reeker,some
times are needed to stare at the
creature but whenever a
music play do not look at it!
Either try to Hide or don't look..
Sometimes there's times when
the Reeker gives you a head
start to hide before trying to find you.
It will go away after awhile
but if it found you.. well good luck..
At times it will sneak behind
players walking slowly as
it gets to the target it will
then attack!
So look at it immediately if
it does this and the creature will
flee immediately.
The Reeker also likes to
hide behind Trees.
It's a very wary creature so
it runs and hide a lot when
it's being watched or looked at..
6. Infestation
Whenever the creature flee
there's a chance it will affect the
surroundings,due to its reeking
and abnormal body..
The affected area contains
a reeking block.
Good thing is that these Reeking
blocks contains useful items
(sometimes).
7. Mold Cleanser
This is a tool that can be
crafted with copper and a glass
bottle.
By placing the block it
will then cleanse a whole 50m area,
this greatly reduced the chances
for the Reeker to infect an Area.
8. Bug Sprayer
To use the sprayer just hold or right
click the Sprayer it will then
spray a sweet scent that lasts for
a few seconds..
This sprayer also stuns the Reeker
due to its sweet fragrant that
is very sensitive for the Reeker.
(I guess he prefer his own smell)
9. Passive Behaviors
At times the reeker will
sit down to rest, this is also
a good opportunity to earn
its trust.
To gain its trust you need to slowly approach the Reeker when it's
