The Hollow Below is a Minecraft Bedrock Edition horror addon that turns underground survival into a slow, atmospheric nightmare. This is not just a random monster addon. It adds a full horror progression system based around caves, darkness, sound, panic, strange underground structures, stalking entities, cursed items, lore scraps, and a final descent into the source of the Hollow.
Main Horror Theme
The Hollow is not just a creature. It is a presence under the world.
At first, survival feels normal. You mine, explore, light tunnels, and search caves like usual. Then small things begin to happen. Whispers appear in the dark. Strange particles flicker near stone. Lanterns feel dead. Footsteps happen behind you. You see something standing at the edge of your torchlight.
The more time you spend underground, the more Attention you attract.
Eventually, the Hollow begins sending things after you.
The Imitator
The main horror creature in this version is The Imitator.
It watches from deep caves and abandoned tunnels. It does not attack immediately. It studies you first. It learns where you go, what you wear, how you move, and when you feel safe.
The Imitator is a tall, skinny, disfigured horror mob with a pale skull-like face, long hanging arms, clawed hands, and a rotten dark body. It is designed to feel wrong inside Minecraft’s blocky style: humanoid enough to recognize, but broken enough to be disturbing.
It appears when your Attention becomes high, when you stay underground too long, when you return to places you have already been, or when the Hollow decides it has learned enough.
It does not just kill you.
It becomes you first.
Attention System
The addon tracks Hollow Attention for each player.
Attention rises when you:
Higher Attention unlocks stronger and scarier events. At low Attention, you may only hear whispers or see particles. At high Attention, The Imitator and other Hollow entities can begin actively hunting you.
Panic System
The addon also tracks Panic.
Panic rises when you are in darkness, near Hollow mobs, trapped underground, chased, damaged, or exposed to strange Hollow events.
As Panic increases, you may experience:

Imitator sightings
Panic is meant to be scary but still playable. It does not constantly blind or spam the player. Major danger has warning signs.

Lore System
Memory Scraps reveal the story slowly.
You will find warnings from lost miners and people who studied the Hollow before disappearing. The lore is mysterious and unsettling rather than fully explained. The goal is to make the player feel like they are uncovering something ancient, not reading a normal quest log.
Final Descent
The addon includes an optional final objective.
After enough progression, the player can enter the Final Descent, where the Hollow becomes more aggressive and The Imitator becomes more direct. The final sequence is designed to be dangerous but fair, with escape tools and rewards.

Current Version
The Hollow Below v4 includes the Imitator rework and fixes entity alignment so mobs should no longer appear sunk one block into the ground.
This addon is built for Minecraft Bedrock Edition and imports as a .mcaddon file containing both the Behavior Pack and Resource Pack.
