added sleeping system
- Sleeping reduces Environmental Points by 50
- Avoiding sleep increases Environmental Points by 100
Or in a smoother gameplay-style format:
Sleep System
Sleeping helps slow down the infection.
- Every time a player sleeps:
- Environmental Points decrease by 50
- Avoiding sleep causes the infection to spread faster:
- Environmental Points increase by 100
The Dark Infection
A parasitic Minecraft add-on inspired by Scape and Run: Parasites
The world is no longer safe.
A strange biological infection spreads across blocks, creatures, and entire environments. As the parasite evolves, it becomes smarter, more aggressive, and harder to survive against.
Survival Mode is now fully supported.
The infection now progresses naturally through gameplay, allowing players to experience a complete survival-horror evolution system.
Core Progression System
The infection evolves through three major systems:
- Environmental Points — controls world corruption and spawn behavior
- Capability Points — controls parasite intelligence and combat evolution
- Transmission Points — controls infection and spreading abilities
Environmental Points
Environmental Points represent how heavily the world has been corrupted.
How to Earn Environmental Points
- Every infected block grants +1 Environmental Point
Environmental Stages
100 Environmental Points
[Environmental Stage 1]
- Infected mobs begin spawning during nighttime
200 Environmental Points
[Environmental Stage 2]
- Infected mobs begin spawning during daytime
- The infection becomes impossible to fully avoid
Capability Points
Capability Points represent the parasite hive’s evolution and combat intelligence.
How Capability Points Work
- Every infected mob spawned: +3 Capability Points
- Every infected mob killed: -5 Capability Points
Players can temporarily slow parasite evolution by eliminating infected creatures.
Capability Stages
0 Capability Points
[Capability Stage 0 — Passive Adaptation]
- Infected mobs attack only certain common creatures
- Parasites avoid players whenever possible
- Detection range limited to 25 blocks
- Early infection behavior remains unstable
500 Capability Points
[Capability Stage 1 — Hostile Evolution]
Infected mobs begin attacking:
- Players
- Overworld creatures
- Sea creatures
- Modded entities
- Nearly all living mobs
Additional Changes:
- Detection range increases to 50 blocks
- Parasites become significantly more aggressive
1500 Capability Points
[Capability Stage 2 — Combat Mutation]
All infected mobs receive major combat upgrades:
- Increased maximum health
- Attack damage increased from 6–8 → 15
- Movement speed increased by 10%
- Improved chase behavior
4000 Capability Points
[Capability Stage 3 — Apex Intelligence]
- Parasites prioritize players above all other targets
- Normal mobs are ignored unless necessary
- Detection range exceeds 200 blocks
- Parasites can detect players through walls
- Escaping becomes extremely difficult
8000 Capability Points
[Capability Stage 4 — Environmental Collapse]
All infected mobs gain:
- Wooden block breaking abilities
- Improved pathfinding
- The ability to invade player bases more effectively
No shelter remains completely safe.
Transmission Points
Transmission Points determine how efficiently the infection spreads between organisms.
Transmission Stages
0 Transmission Points
[Transmission Stage 0 — Dormant Infection]
- Parasites cannot infect living mobs
100 Transmission Points
[Transmission Stage 1 — Explosive Mutation]
- Parasites explode upon death
- Explosions release additional parasitic worms
- Infection spread becomes more unpredictable
200 Transmission Points
[Transmission Stage 2 — Limited Infection]
Only these variants can infect mobs:
- Parasitic Larvae
- Parasite Spiders
The infection is still partially controlled.
300 Transmission Points
[Transmission Stage 3 — Full Transmission]
- All parasite variants can now infect mobs
- Infection is no longer limited to specific parasite types
- Outbreaks spread rapidly across the world
Survival Mode Features
Fully Integrated Survival Gameplay
- Dynamic parasite evolution system
- World corruption progression
- Escalating difficulty over time
- Survival-focused balancing
- Base defense gameplay
- Large-scale infection outbreaks
Recommended Gameplay Style
- Destroy infected zones early before Environmental Points increase
- Eliminate infected mobs to reduce Capability growth

- Use ranged combat during advanced stages
- Travel carefully during late-game outbreaks
Warning
If the infection evolves too far, the world may become impossible to reclaim.
