๐ About Task System
Task System is a complete quest addon for Minecraft Bedrock which allow map creators and server admins to create their own quests without using many command blocks.
Admin can create quests, connect quests with chapters, make story progression, add shops, create NPC quest givers and give automatic rewards when player complete the task.
Players can open the Quest Book, select their quests, track progress, join parties, use shops and also post their own funded bounty requests.
This addon can be use for:
- Adventure maps
- RPG worlds
- Survival servers

- Daily and weekly quest systems
- Large multiplayer events
Task System save quest data automatically and old data can be migrated when updating from older versions.

๐๏ธ Quest Chapters And Categorized Folders
Now large quest list dont need to appear in one giant menu.
Admin can create custom chapters like:
- Main Story
- Side Quests
- Bosses
- Mining
- Daily Tasks
- Guild Tasks
- Events
- Achievements
Players can open the chapter they want and see only quests which belong to it.
This can also be use for creating a proper story progression.

Chapter 2 - Dangerous World

Admin can also change chapter order and quest order inside the chapter.
๐ฏ Multi Objective Quests
One quest can now require many different objectives.
Example:
Zombie Hunter
- Kill 10 Zombies
- Collect 15 Rotten Flesh
- Travel to village
- Approach the quest giver NPC
Quest will only complete when all required objectives are completed.
Different objective types can be mixed inside same quest and one quest can currently contain up to 20 objectives.
Objectives can be added, removed or edited later.
๐ Prerequisite And Hidden Quests
A quest can require one or many previous quests.
For example the Ender Dragon quest can require:
- Find The Stronghold
- Collect Ender Pearls
- Get Blaze Powder
- Repair The End Portal
Only after player complete all required quests, the next quest will unlock.
Admin dont need to type internal quest IDs. Prerequisites can be selected directly from quest list.
Hidden quest can also stay completely invisible until required quests are completed.
This can be use for:
- Secret achievements
- Hidden story missions
- Surprise boss quests
- Rare challenges
- Special event quests
- Secret rewards
Circular prerequisite like Quest A requiring Quest B while Quest B require Quest A will be blocked.

Active Quest Selection
Players can manually select which quests they want to work on.
Up to 5 manually selected quests can stay active at same time.
This help stop random quest completion and allow player to choose their own progression.
Selected quest progress can also appear on Action Bar above hotbar.
๐ง NPC Quest Givers
Task System menu can be connected with physical NPC or other entity inside the world.
An NPC can open:
- One specific quest
- A complete quest chapter
- One specific shop
- Main Task System dashboard
This can be use for making:
- Guild masters
- Shopkeepers
- Kings
- Villagers
- Blacksmiths
- Story characters
- Bounty board NPC
- Event NPC
For example a blacksmith NPC can only open weapon quests and weapon shop while king NPC can open Main Story chapter.
Quest, chapter and shop are selected from menu so admin dont need to type their internal IDs.
A Test Nearest Binding option is included so admin can check if binding is working.
For vanilla NPC dialogue button this command can be used:
/scriptevent tasksystem:open_npc
๐ฅ Party And Co-Op Quests
Players can create or join a party.
Supported party quests will share progress between party members.
Example party quest:
- Kill 500 Zombies
- Break 10,000 Stone
- Gather 1,000 Iron
- Kill a boss
Every party member can help in same quest insted of doing complete task alone.
If party member is offline when a reward is given, their reward can be saved and delivered when they join again.
๐ Server Wide Quests
Quest progress can also be shared with complete server.
This can be use for huge server events like:
- Break 1,000,000 blocks
- Kill 50,000 hostile mobs
- Collect 100,000 resources
- Kill 100 Withers
- Complete a seasonal event
Every player on server can contribute in same objective.
๐ฏ Player Funded Bounties
Normal players can post their own tasks on bounty board.
The reward amount is taken from bounty creator balance and stored until another player complete the request.
Available bounty types:
- Kill an Entity
- Break Blocks
- Place Blocks
- Gather Items
- Hunt a Player
Example player requests:
- Collect 500 Oak Logs
- Kill 50 Zombies
- Mine 100 Diamonds
- Place required blocks
- Kill a selected player
First eligible player who complete the bounty will get the funded reward.
Uncompleted bounty can also be cancelled and refunded by its creator.
โ ๏ธ Player Hunt Bounties
Players can create a bounty for killing another online player.
Target is selected from online player list so no player name or ID need to be typed.
When hunt bounty is posted:
- Target player get an in-game warning
- Bounty remember the target if they leave and join again
- Bounty creator cannot claim their own bounty
- First eligible player who kill the target get reward

Task System support many different objective types.
โ๏ธ Destroy Blocks
Require player to break a specific block.
Supports normal and custom block identifiers.
Example:

Require player to kill a specific mob.
Modded and custom entities are supported by using their entity identifier.

Require player to collect or hold specific items in inventory.

Detect when player craft a selected item.

Require player to reach a selected XP level.
๐ Visit Location
Complete when player reach selected X, Y and Z coordinates inside trigger radius.

Player has to visit many coordinates in correct order.
Can be use for races, parkour, patrols or story routes.

Require player to die selected amount of times.

Require player to catch a selected fish or item.

Complete when player get close to selected entity type.
Can be use for rare mob discovery or story encounters.

Quest amount is not limited to small slider values.
Admin can directly enter bigger numbers.
Example:
- Break 10,000 blocks
- Kill 5,000 mobs
- Travel 50,000 blocks
- Collect 100,000 items
This can be use for hard quests, daily quests, weekly quests and long server progression.
๐ Repeatable And Time Limited Quests
Quests can be configured as:
- One time quests
- Repeatable quests
- Daily quests
- Weekly style quests
- Cooldown quests
- Time limited quests
Cooldown and remaining time can appear with quest progress.
A cooldown can also be set to 0 when no delay is needed.
๐ Automatic Rewards
Rewards are automatically given when player complete a quest.
Supported rewards can include:
- Task System points
- Minecraft items
- XP
- Commands
- Custom command based rewards
Because commands can be used for reward, admin can connect Task System with many other addons and server systems.
Reward commands can be use for giving:
- Money from another economy addon
- Tags
- Ranks
- Custom items
- Teleportation
- Scoreboard values
- Access to new areas
- Dialogue or story events
๐ Economy And Custom Shops
Task System include its own point economy and reward shop system.
Admin can create shop items and players can spend their earned points.
Shop items can also be organised into categories like:
- Weapons
- Armor
- Food
- Farming
- Building Blocks
- Special Items
- Guild Rewards
NPC can be connected with one specific shop.

Players can compare their Task System progress with other players.
Leaderboard can be use for showing active players and creating competition in server.

Task System use a custom Resource Pack UI with server_form.json.
The player dashboard is separated into sections instead of putting everything in one list.
Players can open:

Different quest types have their own icons and UI textures.
UI is also adjusted for PC, mobile, tablet and iPad screen sizes.

Quest creation is separated into smaller steps.
First admin select quest type and after that only settings related to that type will appear.
Quest creation menus include:
- Basic Information
- Objective Settings
- Prerequisites
- Rules And Visibility
- Repeat Settings
- Rewards
Every quest type open its own related form, so unrelated options will not fill complete screen.
Existing quests also have separate edit menus.
๐พ Database Backup And Restore
Admin can create Task System database backup directly inside game.
Backup can include:
- Created quests
- Quest chapters
- Player progress
- Parties
- Shops
- Bounties
- NPC bindings
- Task System settings
- Saved player profiles
A backup can later be restored if data got damaged or changed by mistake.
Still always make a normal copy of your Minecraft world before installing a development update.
โก Performance
Task System use event based tracking and indexed quest data.
This means the addon check related quest progress when needed, like when block is broken, mob is killed or item is crafted, insted of checking every quest every tick.
It is made for worlds which use many quests, but performance can still depend on world size, other addons and server device.
๐ How To Use
1. Get The Quest Book
When player join for first time they will receive Quest Book.
Use the book to open Task System.
2. Enable Admin Mode
Use this command:
/tag @s add admin
After adding the tag, open Task System again to access Admin Panel.
Admin Panel can be use for:
- Create quests
- Edit quests
- Manage chapters
- Manage prerequisites
- Manage NPC bindings
- Manage shops
- Create backups
- Reset data
- View leaderboard
- Configure Task System
3. Player Mode
Normal Survival players can:
- Open Quest Book
- View available chapters
- Select active quests
- Track quest progress
- Join party
- Complete quests
- Use shops
- Create funded bounties
- Claim rewards
๐ฆ Installation
- Download the
.mcaddon file.
- Open it using Minecraft.
- Minecraft will import both Behavior Pack and Resource Pack.
- Create a new world or open world settings.
- Activate Task System BP in Behavior Packs.
- Activate Task System RP in Resource Packs.
- Start the world.
- Use
/tag @s add admin for opening Admin Panel.
Experimental Features are not normally required.
When updating from older Task System version, make a copy of world first.
Existing data should migrate, but backup is always recommended before changing major addon version.
๐ Updating From Older Version
Task System include data migration for older quest and player data.
When updating:
- Make a copy of world.
- Remove old Task System packs.
- Import new
.mcaddon.
- Activate new Behavior Pack and Resource Pack.
- Start copied world first.
- Check quests, shop, player data and NPC bindings.
- Only update main world after confirming everything is working.
Do not test development build directly in important server world without backup.

This version has changed many big systems.
There still can be some problems depending on Minecraft version, device or other addons.
