Whats up guys Racing Raftaar here back with another massive behavior pack. I know a lot of you have been playing minecraft for years and let us be honest the normal survival mode is just way too easy now. You just punch some trees get iron armor on the first day make a bed to skip the night and then you are basically immortal. There is no real challenge after the first few nights and it gets boring. I wanted to completely change how we play the game and make it feel like a true hardcore survival experience. So I spent weeks coding the RR Survival Plus addon. This pack adds six completely new mechanics to the game including thirst, temperature, changing seasons, exhaustion, hygiene and a realistic injury system. It turns your game into a real survival simulator.
Thirst And Exhaustion Mechanics
The first thing you will notice is the new HUD on your action bar. You now have a thirst meter that goes down over time. If you run, sprint, fight mobs or go to the nether your thirst drops super fast. You have to drink water bottles, milk or eat juicy food like apples and melons to stay hydrated. If your thirst hits zero you literally start taking damage until you die and your screen will give you a deadly thirst warning. Along with thirst I added an exhaustion system. Your character gets tired from mining and fighting all day. If you stay awake for too many days without sleeping your exhaustion drops to zero and you just collapse. You get blindness and extreme slowness making you an easy target for mobs. To fix this you actually have to go find a bed and sleep at night to restore your energy back to a hundred percent.
Temperature And Dynamic Seasons
This is probably my favorite part of the addon. The temperature system makes different dimensions and armors actually matter. If you go to the nether it is insanely hot and you will get heat stroke and start taking fire damage. But if you wear netherite armor it actually protects you from the heat. In the overworld it gets freezing cold at night or during winter. You have to wear leather armor to stay warm or stand near a campfire. And yes I added fully working seasons. Every seven minecraft days the season changes from spring to summer to autumn to winter. In summer your thirst drains twice as fast because of the heat. In spring your crops grow super fast. In winter it is freezing and your hunger drops crazy fast because your body needs energy to stay warm. The chat will literally tell you when the season changes and you will get ambient messages describing the weather.
Hygiene And Realistic Injuries
I also added a hygiene system because if you are surviving in the wild you are going to get dirty. Mining blocks and fighting zombies makes your hygiene bar go down. If you become too stinky and your hygiene hits zero you get a poison effect because you are literally toxic. You have to jump into a river or a lake to swim and clean yourself or use a cauldron. Now for the injury system things get really brutal. If you take fall damage from a high place you get a fracture. You will get extreme slowness and you have to hold sticks in your hand and use them as a splint to fix your broken legs. If a mob hits you hard you start bleeding and you have to use paper to bandage yourself. If you fall in lava you get a burn injury and you have to jump in water or drink milk to cure it fast.
Fragment Shop And Daily Challenges
To make surviving actually rewarding I added a whole economy to this addon based on survival fragments. If you manage to survive multiple days without dying or complete daily challenges like drinking 10 times a day or staying clean, the game gives you fragments. If you hold a glass bottle and sneak you open the massive main menu. In this menu there is a fragment shop where you can spend your fragments to buy emergency food, water bottles, leather or even netherite scraps. There is also a daily login reward system. If you log into your world every day your streak goes up and you get free items. On day seven you literally get a free netherite scrap just for logging in. It also tracks your total days survived and gives you milestone achievements.
Beta APIs Setup
Since this addon completely overhauls the game with custom action bars, dynamic properties for tracking all six stats individually for every single player and custom UI menus, you absolutely have to turn on the Beta APIs experiment in your world settings. If you forget to enable it the systems will just crash and none of the survival mechanics or menus will show up on your screen at all.
