Description
Bedrock Edition
The world ended. The stores are empty, the roads are cracked, and the only thing standing between you and a very bad day is a baseball bat with nails in it.
Survival Instinct brings the scavenging, improvising and gritty gear of the post-apocalypse to Minecraft Bedrock. Raid abandoned towns, build brutal makeshift weapons, suit up in tactical armor, and when things get really bad, pop a signal flare and pray the supply drop lands before someone else gets to it.
⚠️ Read this first: this is an add-on, not a full experience
Survival Instinct is designed to be one piece of your survival setup, not the whole thing.
It does not add:
- ❌ Firearms
- ❌ New mobs (no zombies, no bandits)
- ❌ Difficulty changes or survival mechanics like thirst or temperature
This is intentional. Because it stays out of those areas, it’s compatible with pretty much any other add-on. Pair it with your favorite zombie pack, gun add-on, or hardcore difficulty mod and build the apocalypse you want. Think of it as the “loot, gear and ruins” layer of your world.
🔨 Makeshift & Melee Weapons
Why find a sword when you can tape a knife to a broomstick?
- Improvised weapons: nail bats, plank swords, broken bottles, pipe wrenches, lances with knives or screwdrivers, pitchforks, sickles…
- Real blades: katanas, machetes, tactical and hunting knives, fire axes.
- Heavy hitters: glaives (chainsaw, circular saw, machete), stop-sign greataxes, an electric guitar greataxe, sledge hammers and more. These sweep all enemies in front of you, with a cooldown based on each weapon’s weight.
- Special effects:
- 🩸 Bleeding: sharp weapons make targets bleed, dealing damage over time and blocking regeneration.
- ⚡ Electric shock: the electric baton and the Electric Fist briefly paralyze whatever they hit.
- Nail Gun: hold to fire nails. It even detonates explosive barrels, propane tanks and mines from a distance.
🛡️ Armor Sets With Personality
Dozens of armor pieces, many with real effects:

- 🔥 Firefighter set: full immunity to fire and lava, though the flames still wear down your armor.
- ☢️ Hazmat suit: immune to poison, wither, hunger, weakness, blindness, slowness and nausea.
- 😷 Gas mask: shrugs off poison and wither.
- 🌙 Night-vision goggles & hunter helmets: see in the dark.
- Plus military, police, juggernaut, exo suits, ghillie suits (oak, spruce and arctic), recruit and rookie gear, kevlar, and of course… the chicken head.
🍖 Survival Supplies
- Canned food, snacks, sodas, juices, alcohol and MREs (open them for a full meal kit).
- Medical gear (bandages, medkits, syringes, morphine, adrenaline) that heals instantly, with a cooldown so you can’t spam it.
- Gasoline cans to repair your chainsaw. Please don’t drink them. (You can. You shouldn’t.)
- Money that works as furnace fuel, because what else is it good for now?
💣 Traps & Throwables
- Bear traps, rope traps, wire traps and homemade mines to protect your base.
- Molotov cocktails and homemade impact bombs.
- Explosive barrels and propane tanks that go boom when shot or blown up.
- Barricades to board up doors and windows.
🏚️ Abandoned Structures (with variants!)
13 structures scattered across many biomes: gas stations, mini-markets, pharmacies, hardware stores, fire stations, bus stations, suburban houses, survivor camps, farms, a military camp, old roads… and a submerged research facility.
Each one can spawn in 5 versions, so no two visits feel the same:

- 🏠 Normal
- 🕸️ Abandoned: broken windows, holes in the roof, cobwebs.
- 🌿 Overgrown: vines, moss and leaves reclaiming it all.
- 🔥 Burned: charred wood, collapsed sections, lost loot.
- 🪵 Fortified: barricaded doors and windows, and traps left by whoever lived there (mines at the military camp, bear traps at survivor camps…).
Loot is themed per location (medicine in pharmacies, tools in hardware stores, food in fridges). Search refrigerators, trash cans, cash registers, crates, chests and barrels. Tools and weapons you find are usually worn: it’s the apocalypse, nothing is new anymore.
📦 Supply Drops
The highlight of the add-on:

- Craft a Signal Flare and throw it.
- It burns on the ground, sending up a tall column of smoke.
- A few seconds later, a supply crate with a parachute drifts down from the sky.
- It lands, and it’s yours… if you get there first.
Supply crates carry brand-new gear: food, medicine, tools up to iron, seeds, ores, weapons and rare equipment. And every 1 to 1.5 hours, a plane drops a crate somewhere near a random player, with the coordinates announced in chat. Race your friends for it!
⛏️ New Materials
New ores and materials (Steellium, Aluminium, Sulfur) with their own tools, plus crafting components like cloth, thread, electronic scrap and batteries.
✅ Technical Info
- Uses only stable APIs: no experimental toggles needed.
