Sonic Swords transforms every vanilla Minecraft sword into a powerful ranged sonic weapon! Simply attack with a sword to unleash a sonic boom that travels forward, damages entities in its path, and knocks them backward.

Each sword has its own damage, range, and sonic-ring color, making progression from wooden to Netherite swords more meaningful.

⚔️ Sword Damage & Range

📈 Progression

The stronger the sword, the stronger and farther its sonic attack becomes.

Wooden → Stone → Iron → Gold → Diamond → Netherite

The Netherite Sword provides the highest sonic damage (12) and the longest range (10 blocks).

🎮 How to Use

1. Equip a Sword

Hold any vanilla sword in your main hand.

2. Attack

Use your normal attack button:

• PC: Left-click
• Mobile: Tap the attack button
• Controller: Use your normal attack control

3. Fire the Sonic Boom

Attack an enemy directly or attack a block/ground while looking in the direction you want to fire.

The sword will release its corresponding sonic-ring effect and damage entities along its path.

4. Hit Multiple Enemies

The sonic blast does not stop after hitting the first enemy.

It continues traveling through its entire range and can damage multiple entities that are within the blast path.

5. Knockback

Entities hit by the sonic boom are pushed backward, giving the attack both offensive and crowd-control capabilities.

⚙️ How It Works

When you attack while holding a supported sword, the add-on detects the sword in your main hand and selects its corresponding sonic-attack statistics.

The add-on then:

1. Detects your attack.
2. Checks which vanilla sword you are holding.
3. Loads that sword's damage, range, and particle effect.
4. Plays the Warden sonic-boom sound.
5. Creates sonic rings along your view direction.
6. Checks for entities within the blast path.
7. Deals the sword's assigned sonic damage.
8. Applies knockback to affected entities.
9. Continues the blast until it reaches its maximum range.

The attack has a 20-tick (1-second) cooldown. If you attack again before the cooldown finishes, the attack behaves as a normal melee attack instead of creating another sonic boom.

🌀 Sonic Ring Colors

Each sword has its own visual effect:

• 🟤 Wooden Sword — Brown Sonic Rings
• ⚪ Stone Sword — Grey Sonic Rings
• ⚪ Iron Sword — White Sonic Rings
• 🟡 Golden Sword — Gold Sonic Rings
• 🔵 Diamond Sword — Vanilla Blue Sonic Rings
• 🔴 Netherite Sword — Red Sonic Rings

This makes it easy to identify which sword's sonic attack is being used.

Sonic Swords is designed for players who want additional gameplay without sacrificing their normal survival progression.

No Experiments Required

You don't need to enable Minecraft's experimental features.

No Cheats Required

The add-on is designed to function without activating Cheats.

Note: Achievement availability can ultimately depend on Minecraft/Bedrock version behavior and other active add-ons in the world.

📦 Installation

1. Import the .mcaddon file into Minecraft Bedrock Edition.
2. Open or create your world.
3. Go to Behavior Packs and activate the Sonic Swords Behavior Pack.
4. Go to Resource Packs and activate the Sonic Swords Resource Pack.
5. Make sure both packs are active in the same world.
6. Enter the world and equip any vanilla sword.
7. Attack to unleash the sonic boom!

💡 Tips

• Use stronger swords for greater damage and range.
• Attack the ground when you want to fire without needing to hit an enemy first.
• Use the sonic boom against groups of mobs because the blast can hit multiple entities.
• The Netherite Sword is the best choice for maximum sonic damage and range.
• Remember that there is a 1-second cooldown between sonic attacks.
