Smart Villager Addon transforms Minecraft Bedrock villagers into a more active and autonomous civilization. Each profession has unique behaviors, tools, workstation interactions, daily routines, and combat abilities.
Features
Universal Villager Behavior
All villagers can:
- Collect dropped items within their surroundings
- Store collected items in their internal inventory
- Deposit items into nearby chests and barrels
- Build village chests when storage is unavailable
- Help expand villages by placing beds and workstations
- Automatically synchronize their behavior when changing professions
Profession Behaviors
Farmer
- Tills farmland and plants crops
- Uses bone meal to accelerate crop growth
- Harvests and replants mature crops
- Plants flowers and tree saplings
- Produces bone meal through composting
- Breeds cows, sheep, chickens, and pigs
- Feeds baby animals to accelerate their growth
- Defends the village with an iron hoe
Butcher
- Hunts adult cows and pigs
- Collects meat and leather
- Uses smokers to cook collected meat
- Automatically gathers fuel and raw meat for cooking
Shepherd
- Starts with companion sheep
- Shears sheep for wool
- Dyes sheep into different colors
- Feeds sheep to regrow their wool
- Protects sheep from hostile predators
- Works with looms to produce carpets
Armorer
- Repairs damaged Iron Golems
- Provides defensive buffs to nearby villagers and players
- Works with anvils
- Can construct Iron Golems during dangerous situations
Weaponsmith
- Sharpens weapons using grindstones
- Uses a Goat Horn to rally villagers during attacks
- Provides Strength to nearby allies
- Fights hostile mobs using swords and axes
Fletcher
- Patrols the village perimeter
- Uses bows and crossbows against hostile mobs
- Can fire flaming arrows near fire sources
- Applies combat effects against different enemies
- Crafts arrows at fletching tables
- Practices archery using target blocks
Fisherman
- Detects nearby rivers, oceans, and ponds
- Autonomously fishes using a custom fishing rod
- Collects fish from water
- Feeds stray cats
- Cooks fish using campfires
- Restocks ponds with fish
Librarian
- Plants and harvests sugarcane
- Works with lecterns to create books and paper
- Provides beneficial effects to nearby villagers and players
- Removes harmful status effects from allies
Cleric
- Performs Zombie Villager curing rituals
- Uses Weakness potions and Golden Apples
- Provides defensive effects during village attacks
- Works with brewing stands
- Creates and uses combat and healing potions
Dynamic Profession Synchronization
Villagers are continuously monitored for profession changes. When a villager claims, changes, or loses a workstation, their equipment, tags, and profession-specific behavior are automatically updated.
This allows villagers to transition between professions without leaving behind old behavior or equipment.
Village Expansion
Villagers can actively contribute to the growth of their village by:
- Placing beds with valid clearance
- Building additional workstations
- Claiming newly placed workstations
- Creating storage containers
- Collecting and organizing resources
- Supporting natural village breeding
Minecraft Version
Minecraft Bedrock Edition 1.21.0 or higher.
The addon uses the Bedrock Scripting API and requires Beta APIs to be enabled.
