Simple KOTH
Simple KOTH is a complete King of the Hill event system for Minecraft Bedrock servers, designed to give players a competitive way to fight for control of a zone while giving administrators full control over every part of the event. Everything is managed from in-game menus through a single command, with no need to edit files manually.
Command and Access
Administrators control the system with the /src:koth command, which offers four options: start, stop, stopall, and config. The command is restricted to game directors, so only trusted staff can manage events.
Capture Modes
Each KOTH can run in one of two modes:
- Time Mode: A single player must hold the zone alone for a set time to win. If another player enters the zone, the timer resets. Duration can be set from 5 minutes up to 7 days.
- Points Mode: Every player inside the zone earns points each second, and the first to reach the target score wins. Both the target points and points per second are configurable.
KOTH Management
Create, edit, start, stop, and delete as many KOTHs as you need, each with its own settings:
- Custom name, ID, description, and menu texture
- Cuboid capture zone defined by two corners and a dimension (Overworld, Nether, or The End)
- Enable or disable each KOTH individually
- Minimum players required, either per KOTH or globally
- Animated particle border that outlines the capture zone
- Optional combat knockback applied to fights inside the zone
Rewards
Winners can receive multiple types of rewards at once:
- Item rewards: Up to five items per KOTH, copied directly from your hand, including amount, custom name, lore, enchantments, and durability.
- Commands: Run any commands on the winner, with
$playerand$kothplaceholders. - Potion effects: Give winners effects with custom duration and amplifier.
- Win counter: Every victory is added to a scoreboard objective, perfect for leaderboards and rankings.
Automatic Scheduling
KOTHs can start manually or automatically at specific times of the day (HH:MM format), with a configurable timezone and automatic duration. This keeps your server active with recurring events and no staff intervention.
Holograms and Leaderboards
Each KOTH displays a floating hologram showing its name, mode, countdown or time remaining, a live leaderboard, and the Top 3 KOTH winners. The hologram text and leaderboard format are fully customizable with placeholders such as $koth, $mode, $player, $points, $hrs, $mins, and $secs.
Messages and Sounds
Customize the messages broadcast to the server at every stage of the event:
- Pre-start countdown announcements
- Player enters or leaves the zone
- Event start, stop, and winner announcements
- Personal message for the winner
Sounds for start, stop, and win can also be changed, including volume and pitch.
Designed for Server Entertainment
Simple KOTH turns any server into a competitive arena with recurring events, rewards, and live rankings. Its menu-based configuration makes it easy to set up and manage, even for administrators with no scripting experience.
