Shrieking Lands - A Custom Dimension

Defeat the boss. Claim the dimension.

Shrieking Lands is a addon that adds a fully custom dimension. A dark, hostile world built from cliffs, sculk plains, shrieking trees, and glowing magma fields stretch as far as you explore. At the centre sits a boss dungeon, guarded by the Apex Warden with its powerful skills and magic. Mining in this dimension is locked until you take it down.

This addon is in very early development. Expect bugs, missing features, and rough edges. A hotfix for the known issues below is already complete but pending the mandatory review window. Reports and feedback are welcome in the Discord.

Add-On Guide

Slay a Warden to collect a Warden Heart, the key to the Ancient City's central structure. Right-click the portal frame while holding the heart to ignite the passage to the Shrieking Lands.

The Apex Warden

The dungeon boss is no ordinary Warden. The Apex Warden spawns with a permanent lightning aura, a flash teleport dash toward nearby players, and a supercharge meter that triggers a devastating area attack when full. A health bar is displayed to all nearby players throughout the fight.
Killing it will lift the mining lock for everyone on the server/world, forever.

FAQ

Does this work in survival? Yes. The dimension, boss, and ore are all fully survival compatible.

Does it work on Realms / servers? Yes, as long as both the Behaviour Pack and Resource Pack are applied to the world.

Will it conflict with other addons? Shrieking Lands does not modify any vanilla blocks, entities, or screens. Conflicts are unlikely.

The terrain generates slowly, is that normal? Yes. Terrain is scripted block by block so it loads gradually as you explore. Open /config to increase the generation speed if your device can handle it.

Is the mining lock permanent once lifted? Yes. Once the Apex Warden is killed the flag is saved to the world and never resets.

This addon requires you to be on a minecraft version above 1.26.20 and you need BETA API Enabled
