SMP Essentials Add-On
Introduction
This add-on was built from the ground up with public SMPs and multiplayer servers in mind. Most servers today still rely on outdated, clunky systems for teleportation, homes, ranks, and moderation. While those systems technically work, they often feel patched together, inconsistent, and, let’s be honest, a little janky. That’s why this project was created—to modernize those essential features and make them smooth, intuitive, and fun to use.
Whether you’re running a busy public SMP, a private friends-only world, or even exploring solo, this add-on introduces quality-of-life improvements that enhance gameplay without breaking balance.
Why This Was Made
The main goal of this project is simple: make server essentials feel modern and reliable. For too long, players have accepted that commands like /tpa or /home would just feel rough around the edges. This add-on reimagines those systems, providing cleaner commands, clearer feedback, and more control for both players and admins.
But beyond that, this project is also about building community-focused tools. Servers thrive when players can connect, communicate, and collaborate without frustration. Every feature here was designed to make that possible.
Core Features
Teleport Requests
Instead of instantly teleporting into another player’s space, this add-on uses a request system. You send a request, and the other player can either accept or deny it. It’s fair, respectful, and keeps everyone in control of their own gameplay.
Home and Spawn Commands
Set a home once and return to it anytime with a single command. Perfect for players with bases far from spawn. You can also teleport back to spawn instantly, making meet-ups and community events smoother.
Nick System
Admins and moderators often need to handle situations quietly. The nick system allows them to go undercover with a custom name, keeping their real identity hidden while they observe or manage the server.
Mute Command
Server moderation is easier with the mute feature. Staff can mute disruptive players for a custom amount of time, instead of permanently or not at all. It gives admins flexibility while keeping the community environment positive.
Chat Cooldown
Spam is one of the biggest problems on public servers. The chat cooldown prevents players from spamming by limiting how often they can send messages, creating cleaner, more readable chats.
Help!
Now if you want to see the rest of the commands just type !help in chat and youll be able to see all of the other commands that you or the admins can use(to be an admin add the tag admin to yourself)
Goals and Dreams of the Project
This add-on isn’t just about replacing old systems. It’s about setting a new standard for public SMPs. The dream is to give every server owner, no matter how big or small, access to lightweight but powerful tools that make their community thrive.
Future goals include expanding the add-on with more moderation features, event tools for community games, and even lightweight economy systems. The long-term vision is to build a single add-on that feels like a complete toolkit for both players and admins—something reliable enough for big public servers but simple enough for small friend groups.
Conclusion
At its heart, this add-on is about making Minecraft multiplayer more enjoyable. From teleport requests to nicknames, from mute commands to chat cooldowns, every feature was designed to solve real problems players and admins face daily.
If you’ve ever been frustrated with clunky server commands or tired of dealing with outdated plugins, this add-on is here to give you a smoother, cleaner, and more modern alternative. It’s not just another essentials pack—it’s the start of a bigger vision: to make community servers feel welcoming, polished, and fun for everyone.
