🚛 Mobile + deployed modes
💥 Realistic launch & interception effects
🚀 CORE SYSTEM
The addon introduces a complete S-300 launcher system with three dedicated control items:
- S-300 SAM System — places the launcher vehicle.
- S-300 Deployment Kit — switches the launcher between mobile and deployed configurations.
- S-300 Fire Control — opens the targeting interface and allows the operator to engage airborne targets.
The launcher functions as an actual controllable vehicle and can be driven to a desired position before being converted into its stationary firing configuration.
🚛 MOBILE LAUNCHER
The S-300 starts in mobile vehicle mode.
Players can:
- Place the launcher on the terrain.
- Enter the vehicle normally.
- Drive the launcher using its vehicle controls.
- Steer the vehicle using the player's camera direction.
- Relocate the launcher before beginning an engagement.
- Deploy the system after reaching the desired firing position.
The launcher has its own vehicle health and collision system, allowing it to function as a persistent operational entity rather than simply being a static decorative model.
⚙️ DEPLOYMENT SYSTEM
Once positioned, use the S-300 Deployment Kit to convert the launcher from transport configuration into firing configuration.
The deployment process changes the vehicle's state and activates the model's deployment animation.
During deployment:
- The launcher becomes stationary.
- Its movement is disabled.
- The missile-launch assembly raises into the firing position.
- The launcher model switches to its deployed configuration.
- The launch tubes are raised vertically.
- The deck and erector components animate into their firing positions.
- The operator camera changes to a dedicated third-person operational view.
- The system becomes available for missile engagement.
Using the Deployment Kit again returns the S-300 to mobile mode, allowing it to be driven to another location.
The deployed state is also handled when the world is reloaded so the launcher can restore its appropriate operational configuration.
🎯 FIRE-CONTROL SYSTEM
The S-300 Fire Control provides a dedicated targeting interface.
When the launcher is deployed, activating Fire Control scans the surrounding area for potential airborne targets.
The targeting system is designed to avoid common Minecraft entities that should not normally be treated as aircraft or aerial targets.
The system filters out:
- Ground-level entities.
- Water creatures.
- Swimming entities.
- Dropped items.
- XP orbs.
- Falling blocks.
- TNT and similar objects.
- Boats.
- Minecarts.
- Projectiles.
- Decorative entities.
- Various non-combat entities.
- Other S-300 launchers.
- Existing S-300 missiles.
- The operator themselves.
Entities must also meet the addon’s airborne-height requirements before appearing as valid targets.
🛩️ AIRBORNE TARGET DETECTION
The targeting system is specifically configured around aerial engagements.
Potential targets are checked for their height above the surrounding ground or water surface rather than simply detecting everything inside a large radius.
This helps prevent the fire-control system from selecting ordinary ground mobs and objects.
The system also contains additional filtering for aquatic entities, including recognition patterns for custom entities from other addons whose IDs may contain names associated with aquatic creatures.
This makes the targeting system considerably more selective than a simple "target everything nearby" mechanic.
📡 LONG-RANGE TARGET SCANNING
The fire-control scanner can search up to:
4,000 blocks
The interface displays available airborne targets and their approximate distance from the operator.
Up to 24 targets can be displayed in the targeting interface at one time, with candidates ordered according to their distance.
Selecting a target immediately assigns that entity to the missile's guidance system.
🚀 S-300 SAM MISSILES
The addon includes a dedicated scripted missile entity.
Missiles are launched from the raised launcher tubes rather than simply appearing beside the vehicle.
Each missile has:
- Script-controlled flight.
- Gradual acceleration.
- Guided flight.
- Target tracking.
- Directional rotation.
- Block collision detection.
- Entity collision detection.
- Maximum flight range.
- Proximity-based target interception.
- Exhaust and launch effects.
- Explosion effects on impact.
Missile specifications
Maximum range: 4,000 blocks
Maximum speed: 6 blocks/tick
Launch speed: 1 block/tick
Maximum simultaneous missiles per launcher: 3
Launch cooldown: 1.5 seconds
Proximity hit distance: approximately 3 blocks
The gradual acceleration gives the missile a more realistic launch profile instead of instantly moving at maximum speed.
🛰️ HOMING GUIDANCE
When a target is selected through the Fire Control interface, the missile continuously updates its target position during flight.
This means the missile does not simply travel toward the target's original coordinates.
Instead, it continuously tracks the target entity and adjusts its flight direction as the target moves.
The missile can therefore pursue a moving airborne target after launch.
The missile's orientation also changes according to its actual flight direction, allowing the 3D missile model to visually follow its trajectory.
🔥 BOOST & FLIGHT PROFILE
Immediately after launch, the missile begins with a short vertical boost phase.
The flight system then gradually transitions from the vertical launch trajectory toward the target's direction.
After the boost phase, the missile enters its main guided flight.
Its speed increases progressively until reaching the configured maximum velocity.
This produces a launch sequence consisting of:
Launch → Vertical Boost → Direction Transition → Acceleration → Homing Flight → Interception
💥 WARHEAD & IMPACT SYSTEM
When the missile reaches its target, the addon triggers an explosion effect.
The impact system includes:
- Direct target damage.
- Area splash damage.
- Explosion visuals.
- Explosion sound.
- Particle effects.
- No terrain destruction.
The warhead has a configured blast radius of approximately 5 blocks.
The addon deliberately prevents the explosion from breaking blocks, allowing the S-300 to be used in survival worlds, military builds and large-scale scenarios without automatically destroying the surrounding environment.
🌫️ MISSILE EXHAUST EFFECTS
During flight, the missile produces a visual exhaust trail using Minecraft particle effects.
The missile uses:
- Smoke particles.
- Flame particles.
- Launch effects.
- Explosion particles.
- Explosion sound effects.
These effects make the missile's trajectory easier to see during an engagement.
🎮 OPERATOR CAMERA SYSTEM
The addon includes a dedicated camera system for operating the S-300.
When the launcher is deployed while the player is riding it, the player's camera is moved into a controlled third-person operational position behind the launcher.
This provides a better view of:
- The launcher.
- The elevated missile tubes.
- The surrounding battlefield.
- Incoming or selected aerial targets.
When the launcher returns to mobile mode, the camera is restored.

- Separate SAM missile model.
- Custom launcher texture.
- Missile texture.
- Item textures.
- Deployment animations.
- Animation controllers.
- Custom render controller.
