Description
Ruthless Mobs originated as an Addon I created to play with friends. I have updated it over time and it is now in a state to be made available to anyone else who would like to try it! This Addon also contains no scripts, meaning you can invite people playing on different platforms, such as Xbox and PlayStation, to join your world.
The main goal is to increase the challenge of Minecraft through the difficulty of the mobs. Instead of simply giving mobs more damage and HP, Ruthless Mobs mainly focusses on introducing unique behaviours and abilities not present in the Vanilla game, similarly to how the well-known Epic Siege Mod works for Minecraft Java Edition.

Full Moon Feature
Every full moon (8 days), additional buffs are applied to mobs to further increase the challenge of the game. When a full moon is active, it will appear green in the sky.
- Target detection range is doubled on most mobs (on top of the already increased detection range).
- The spawn chance of special mob variants is doubled (e.g Charged Creepers & Super Zombies).
- Mobs are able to see and track targets through walls.
Creeper:
- Target detection range increased (to 48 blocks).
- Will attempt to breach walls when unable to reach its target.
- Has an increased chance of spawning in its Charged state (2%).
- Now causes fire when exploding in its Charged state.
- Explodes when caught on fire.
Enderman:
- Causes blindness to the player when attacking.
- Randomly teleports hostile mobs within a certain radius.
Ender Dragon:
- HP increased (to 400 HP).
- Melee attack damage increased (to 6 HP)
Ghast
- Target detection range increased (to 96 blocks).
- Ranged attack distance increased (to 96 blocks).
- Shoots fireballs in burst shots (2).
- Has an increased maximum spawn limit (3).
Skeleton:
- Target detection range increased (to 48 blocks).
- Ranged attack distance increased (to 32 blocks).
- Fires arrows at an increased rate (1.0 - 1.5 seconds).
- Now attacks Villagers and Wandering Traders.
Super Skeleton (Skeleton variation):
- Target detection range increased (to 64 blocks).
- HP increased (to 80 HP).
- Mob scale increased (100%).
- Shoots explosive arrows.
Slime:
- Target detection range increased (to 48 blocks).
- Movement speed increased (+20%).
- Small slimes can now inflict damage to its targets (1 HP).
Spider:
- Target detection range increased (to 48 blocks).
- Movement speed increased (+25%).
- Now attacks Villagers and Wandering Traders.
Super Spider (Spider variation):
- HP increased (to 80 HP).
- Mob scale increased (+100%).
- Can be jockeyed by 2 mobs.
- Can now be jockeyed by Zombies.
Witch:
- Target detection range increased (to 48 blocks).
- Has the ability to spawn certain mobs to aid its attacks (Zombies, Spiders, Skeletons, Creepers).
- Takes damage when in contact with water.
- Now avoids water as a valid AI path.
Zombie:
- Target detection range increased (to 48 blocks).
- Targets all mobs not considered monsters, such as animals.
- Targets blocks to break, such as torches, while not pursuing a target.
- Has the ability to climb walls to reach their target.
- Has the ability to break certain blocks which obstruct its path.
Super Zombie (Zombie variation):
- Target detection range increased (to 64 blocks).
- HP increased (to 80 HP).
- Attack damage increased (to 12 HP).
- Mob scale increased (+100%).
- Has the ability to break a wider variety of blocks which obstruct its path.
- Movement speed decreased (-50%).
