Shadows of the Void is a comprehensive psychological horror mod designed to transform Minecraft into a dark, unforgiving survival experience. A mysterious dimensional rupture has begun leaking into the Overworld, corrupting once-peaceful lands and bringing forth nightmarish entities that stalk you from the shadows.

Psychological Sanity Mechanics

Your mind is just as vulnerable as your health bar.

The Sanity Gauge: Staying in pitch-black environments or standing near horrific creatures causes your Sanity level to drop.

Hallucinations & Effects: Low sanity triggers unsettling auditory hallucinations, visual distortions, random jump scares, and debilitating status debuffs.

Light as a Lifeline: Maintain your sanity using specialized light sources, such as the Runic Lantern, or by crafting Purification Serums.

Terrifying New Entities

Survival requires constant vigilance—each creature demands a unique strategy to defeat or avoid:

The Silent Stalker: An invisible presence that stalks you from behind. It grows closer when your back is turned and dims your vision as it approaches.

The Bone Crawler: A fast, four-legged creature clinging to cave ceilings and dark forest canopies. Its piercing shriek causes Blindness and Slowness.

Chest Mimic: Posing as ordinary loot containers inside structures, these creatures strike with high damage the moment they are opened.

The Shadow Weaver: A formidable mini-boss that spawns in corrupted biomes at night, summoning shadowy illusions and altering environmental light levels.

The Forgotten Victim: Tragic, weeping spirits that wander the lands. Purify them for rare loot, or face an aggressive horde if provoked.

Corrupted Biomes

The Whispering Forest: Covered in dense, eternal fog and dark wood trees. Passive health regeneration is disabled unless you stand near a direct light source.

The Swamp of Agony: Thick purple waters lined with toxic mud that drastically reduces movement speed and emits damaging gas pockets.

Custom Structures & Equipment

6 Unique Structures: Discover Ruined Altars, Underground Crypts, Corrupted Hermit Huts, Fallen Watchtowers, Bone Circles, and Hidden Bunkers containing lost lore entries.

Advanced Gear: Forge Obscurida Armor for blindness immunity, wield the life-stealing Scythe of Souls, and throw Luminous Spears to temporarily drive back the dark.
