Introduction

Whats up guys Racing Raftaar here again. Today i am bringing you a really cool and unique behavior pack for your multiplayer worlds. So we all use discord and whatsapp every single day and the best feature on those apps is that you can just react to a message with an emoji. But in vanilla minecraft chatting is super basic and boring. If your friend says something funny or finds diamonds you have to stop moving, open the keyboard and type haha or nice. It takes too much time and it interrupts the gameplay. I wanted to fix this so i created the RR Chat Reactions addon. This pack brings a complete social media style reaction system directly into your minecraft chat so you can express yourself with just a couple of clicks.

​How The Chat Reactions Work

When you load into the world with this pack the game automatically gives you the setup items. I programmed twelve default reactions into the pack right out of the box. You get things like Like, Love, Fire, Laugh, Wow, Sad, Angry, GG, Nice Shot, RIP, Cool and Think. Every single reaction comes with its own colored text icon that looks really clean in the chat box. So if your friend dies in lava you dont have to type anything. You just open the menu, click the RIP reaction and select your friends name. The whole server will see a message saying that you reacted to them with a gray F icon and it plays a satisfying sound effect so they know you are laughing at them. It makes the server feel so much more alive and interactive.

​The Main Menu And Custom Reactions

To actually use this system i gave you a Glow Ink Sac when you spawn. You just hold it in your hand and right click or tap the screen to open the Main Menu. From this menu you can do everything. But the craziest feature i added is the custom reactions. You are not just stuck with my default twelve reactions. If you go into the Manage Reactions tab you can actually create your own custom ones. You can type any short code you want, add your own custom icon using keyboard symbols and give it a label. You can make up to ten custom reactions for yourself. So if you want to make a skull reaction or a toxic reaction for your SMP you can do it easily from the menu. And if you make a mistake you can just remove it from the same menu.

​Reaction Board And Echo Shard

I also added a second item to your inventory which is an Echo Shard. This is your social hub. When you use the echo shard it opens the Reaction Board. Imagine you were mining for an hour and you missed a lot of chat messages. You can just open this board and it shows you a history log of the last twenty reactions that happened on the server. It tells you exactly who reacted to who and how long ago it happened like 5 minutes ago or just now. But the best part of the echo shard menu is the Leaderboard. The game constantly tracks every single reaction. The leaderboard shows the top five most popular players on the server based on how many reactions they have received from other people. It gets really competitive when everyone is trying to be number one on the board.

​Personal Stats Tracking

If you want to see your own personal journey you can open the Stats tab from the main menu. This shows you exactly how many reactions you have given out to people and how many you have received in total. It even shows your current rank on the server leaderboard. But my favorite part is the received breakdown. The menu will actually tell you exactly which reactions people use on you the most. So if your friends always send you the angry reaction or the sad reaction you will see the exact count of those specific icons. It is a really fun way to see what people think about you on the server.

​Beta APIs Setup

Just like all my other advanced packs you guys know the drill. Because this addon uses dynamic properties to permanently save your custom reactions and tracks all your stats and leaderboards, you absolutely must turn on the Beta APIs experiment in your world settings. If you dont toggle it on before you load the world the glow ink sac and echo shard will not open any menus and the whole reaction system will be completely broken. So please double check your world experiments before playing.
