🧙 Player RPG Systems

  • Player Level System

    • Players have an RPG level stored via Dynamic Properties.

    • Levels influence mob difficulty and scaling.

    • Level is used as reference for nearby mob strength.

  • RPG Stats & Mechanics

    • Player stats affect combat behavior.

    • Custom mechanics allow damage scaling without relying solely on potion effects.

    • Systems are designed to be expandable for future attributes.

  • Race System

    • Players select a race through a roulette-style system.

    • Race effects and abilities are applied using tags.

    • Effects are handled by the raca_effects script.

    • Race logic is fully separated from mob logic.


👹 Mob RPG System

  • Mob Level Scaling

    • Mobs scale based on the nearest player’s level.

    • Scaling affects:

      • Strength

      • Resistance (up to level III)

      • Health Boost

    • Tier system derived from player level.

  • Boss & Miniboss System

    • Bosses (1% chance):

      • Strength X

      • Resistance IV

      • Health Boost 50

      • Tagged as rpg_boss

    • Minibosses (tier-based, 10% chance):

      • Strength

      • Resistance

      • Health Boost

      • Tagged as rpg_miniboss

  • Mob Configuration by Level

    • Effects are recalculated on spawn.

    • Different stat curves based on mob level ranges.

    • Undead mobs are correctly handled regarding instant health/damage.

  • All nearby mobs display:

    • Current HP / Max HP

    • Mob level

  • Bosses and minibosses show clear prefixes.

  • NameTags update dynamically.

  • System avoids processing distant entities to improve performance.


⚔ Mob Special Combat Behaviors

  • Spiders & Cave Spiders

    • Apply poison on hit.

    • Can trap players with webs.

    • Can spawn reinforcements.

  • Zombies

    • Can apply debuffs such as:

      • Weakness

      • Slowness

      • Nausea

  • Iron Golem

    • Applies a physical impulse to players on hit.

    • Launches players backward and upward using native physics (applyImpulse).


🧟 Special Mob Variants

  • Skeletons

    • Can spawn riding skeleton horses.

  • Evokers

    • Can spawn riding ravagers.

  • Creepers

    • Always spawn charged.

    • Gain speed and resistance.

  • Creaking

    • Enhanced speed and resistance.


⚙ Performance & Design Decisions

  • Distance-based entity scanning to reduce load.

  • Passive mobs are excluded from RPG logic via explicit lists.

  • No particle-based mechanics (entity-based logic preferred).

  • Uses command-safe execution with fallbacks to avoid crashes.
