Residue: World Heart - v1.1 Update

1. The Mind Prison

  • "Punishment" Phase: Changed duration to 6 seconds. It feels impactful but no longer drags on.
  • Visuals:
    • Silhouette Spawn: Now uses unsettling audio cue.
    • Blindness: Reduced to 2 seconds for a snappier transition.

2. Unraveled Return

  • Robust Camera: Switched to minecraft:third_person_front (Selfie Mode).
    • Why? Previous custom cameras clipped into terrain. Now you can look out for horrors behind you.
  • The Monster Behind: The "Static Echo" now spawns 2 blocks BEHIND the player.
  • Disorientation: Nausea IV (10 seconds) is applied immediately on return to create a sickening "world shift" feeling.
  • Audio: The "Scream" sound has been moved to the very end of the sequence.

3. Saccade Engine (Jumpscares)

  • Panopticon Event (Camera Hijack):
    • Frequency: Tuned to check every 10 ticks (0.5s). Retains the 0.1% chance, making it a rarer event.
    • Camera: Also switched to third_person_front to prevent clipping.
  • Panic Turn (Fast Movement):
    • "Close Call": Reduced chance to 1% per fast turn.

4. Curses & Mechanics

  • Void Curse (Ender Dragon):
    • REMOVED: The "Jetpack" mechanic (Sneak + Look Up) was removed due to clunky controls and fall damage.
    • NEW: Void Walker. You now permanently (during the Curse daily roll) have Speed IV, Jump Boost IV, and Slow Falling. You move with the haste of the dragon.
    • Static Decay: Remains active. You must keep moving, or the "stillness burns" (Wither effect).
  • Commands:
    • residue:reroll: Now plays a random.levelup sound to confirm it ran.
    • residue:help: Confirmed active.

5. Final Tweaks

  • Loading Screen: Updated en_US.lang to use progressScreen.message format with custom lore.
