Requiem Rising is a JoJo's Bizarre Adventure addon that centers on customizable PvP.
The core of the PvP are its sandbox elements, and every fight you have with another player will be unique!!

You combine Stands, Specialties, Accessory Sets and Dark Determinations to make one unified build that, depending on your mix-and-match skills, could blow opponents away!!

THIS ADDON WILL ONLY BE UPLOADED TO MCPEDL, CURSEFORGE AND THE RR DISCORD! IF IT IS ANYWHERE ELSE, I WAS NOT THE ONE WHO UPLOADED IT!!

That isn't to say we don't have plenty of PvE / singleplayer content as well!!

Starting things off, the most important feature in the addon: THE CODEX.

The Codex is a full wiki of everything in the addon. You get it when you spawn in, and it can also be purchased from the Passione Mafioso NPC if you lose yours.

THIS ADDON IS IMMENSELY COMPLEX!!! YOU NEED IT, EVEN IF YOU THINK YOU DON'T!!!

Now, leveling up. Another item you will get when you spawn is the Character Leveling Menu item. Clear your hotbar and use it to open the menu, where you will be able to access a configuration menu to do things like enabling a custom camera angle (including an extra configuration menu for admins), an overview skill that lets you see the stats of nearby players, and of course open up multiple skill trees for your character, your stand, and your specialty.

The basic combat is also very simple and uses familiar mechanics

Dash: While holding a moveset item, crouch and jump to use your dash.
It will launch you in the direction you are facing but can be upgraded to launch you in the direction you are moving instead.

Block: Crouching allows you to block attacks. Not all attacks can be blocked however, some will either break your block, causing you to become stunned, or go straight through it, ignoring it completely and hitting you anyway

Parry: For just a moment after you activate your block, you are put into a parry state that allows you to deflect certain attacks that aren't blockable. You cannot spam the parry however, crouching too often will shut it down and force you into the blocking state immediately, however blocking an attack will reset that timer and allow you to parry again immediately. Unlike being blocked, being parried will stun you, so you must be very careful using parriable attacks.

Attack: Simply left click while holding a moveset item to use your basic attack, it comes out quick, does decent damage, and is blockable.

Slam: Crouch and left click while holding a moveset item to use your slam, it comes out far slower and does higher damage, and it is parriable, but breaks block.

The rest of your skills are defined by your kit!

Being the main piece of your build, Requiem Rising has many stands from many parts.
We also try not to add all the same stands as other JoJo mods, so you might see something here you can't really find anywhere else!!

Specialties (Specs) are things like Spin, and Hamon, secondary movesets that only give you a few extra skills, mostly designed to help your Stand fight instead of being your main combat source.

Accessory Sets are armor pieces that grant passives when worn. Extremely simple, but choosing the right one for you is crucial to getting a good build.

You can wear all 4 pieces of the same set to get a powerful buff, or mix and match freely to get weaker versions of multiple buffs!

(NOTE: THEY ARE INVISIBLE IN GAME SO THAT WHEN YOU USE A SKILL THAT TURNS YOU INVISIBLE YOU DO NOT APPEAR AS FLOATING ARMOR PIECES. THANK YOU FOR UNDERSTANDING.)

• Jotaro (Passive Strength)
• Dio (Regen on Block/Parry)
• Josuke (Extra buffs and immortality when you reach Low HP)
• Pucci (Increased Parry Window)
• Giorno (Heals and Buff duration both increased)
• Gappy (Debuff duration increased)

Dark Determinations are the difference between a good build and a great build. They act as a sort of Special Skill, either granting you some buffs in exchange for also granting you debuffs, launching an attack that rebounds and hits you when it misses, or freeing you from stun at the cost of locking your moves down for a long time.

They are obtained from Spirits, each boss drops a unique Spirit.

• Brilliance - Kars (Doubles Parry Window but slows you immensely)
• Fever - Jobin (Makes you really fast but deals damage to you)
• Freedom - F.V. (Frees you from stun, but you cant use skills and are slowed for a while)
• Heaven - H.A.D. (Launches an AOE attack that debuffs, it hits you if you miss.)
• Macabre - Bruford (Launches an AOE attack that heals you, you take damage if you miss)
• Rage - Diavolo (Launches an AOE attack that buffs you, you get debuffed if you miss.)
• Shadow - Risotto (Makes you invisible and really fast for 3 seconds, if you get hit u get stunned)
• Wrath - Luca (Gives you Strength, but makes your vision go down the drain)

Requiem Rising takes a unique approach to progression in that there are actually zero regular enemies, there are ONLY bosses. However, all of these bosses are actually completely optional.

They are also incredibly easy to summon, and each boss will give you the materials needed to summon a different boss. The only thing holding you back is your own skill level.
