Whats up guys Racing Raftaar here again. Today i am bringing you a really fun and challenging Add-on for your minecraft survival worlds. So we all know normal survival can get a bit too easy once you get some iron or diamond armor. You always have 10 hearts and you always know exactly how much damage you can take. It is very predictable.
But i saw a lot of big youtubers doing these random health challenges and i thought it would be amazing to bring that exact same experience to bedrock edition. So I made the RR Random Heart addon. This pack completely changes how you play the game by randomizing your maximum health every single time you spawn or respawn. It adds so much luck and difficulty to the game and makes every single life feel completely different.
How The Random System Works
The core mechanic of this Add-on is very simple but changes everything about your survival world. Whenever you create a new world or whenever you die and respawn at your bed, the game rolls a random number to decide your maximum hearts. You can get anywhere from 1 single heart all the way up to the normal 10 hearts. But it doesnt just give you the health once. The script actually locks your health to that number permanently for that life.
I wrote a background loop that checks your health constantly so you literally cannot regenerate past your rolled limit. Even if you eat golden apples or use instant health potions, your base maximum health will stay exactly at what you rolled until you die and respawn again to get a new random roll.
Heart Rarities And Drop Chances
I didnt just make it a random 1 to 10 number generator because that would be boring. I actually built a full weighted rarity system. Getting your normal 10 hearts back is extremely rare now. Most of the time you will get Common or Decent rolls which give you 3 or 4 hearts. That is where you will spend most of your time. Getting 1 or 2 hearts is classified as Unlucky and Poor, and there is a pretty high chance for that too so you will struggle a lot.
But if you get really lucky you might roll a 7 which is a Rare drop, or an 8 which is Very Rare. Getting 9 hearts is Legendary and has only a 1 percent chance. But the ultimate jackpot is the 10 Hearts roll. This is classified as GOD TIER and has a crazy 0.5 percent chance of dropping.
Sounds And Server Announcements
I really wanted the health rolls to feel impactful like opening a loot crate in a game. When you respawn and get your hearts, the game plays specific sounds based on your luck. If you get a bad roll like 1 or 2 hearts it plays a really sad bass sound and the chat actually mocks you saying better luck next time. But if you roll something good like 5 or 6 hearts you get a nice level up sound to hype you up. And if you hit the jackpot and roll 8, 9 or 10 hearts, it plays a massive totem sound.
Also I added a global broadcast feature for multiplayer realms. If you or your friend manages to roll 8 hearts or higher, the entire server gets a chat message announcing your crazy luck. It tells everyone that you just rolled God Tier hearts so they can all see your RNG.
How To Survive With Low Hearts
If you are playing this on a server with your friends it becomes hilarious. Imagine you are about to fight the ender dragon and you die to an enderman. You respawn at your bed and the game gives you 1 single heart. You literally cannot take any damage. One arrow from a skeleton or a tiny bit of fall damage and you are instantly dead again.
You have to play so incredibly safe. You will need to rely heavily on shields, blocks, and bow spamming because melee combat is basically a death sentence with 2 HP. It makes every single mob encounter feel like a boss fight. And when you finally do roll 8 or 9 hearts after dying 20 times, you will feel like an absolute tank and rush back into combat.
Beta APIs Setup
Just like my other advanced packs you need to turn on the experiments for this to work. Because this pack uses custom background scripts to continuously check and lock your maximum health limit every second, you absolutely must turn on the Beta APIs experiment in your world settings. If you dont toggle this on, the script wont load and everyone will just spawn with the normal 10 hearts and no randomizer will happen at all. So please double check your world settings before you start your challenge.
