Pure Chat v4.5 — Chat Filter

Pure Chat is a free and easy to use Minecraft Bedrock chat filter!

Ever running a realm or server, and had issues moderating the chat? Well look no further! Pure chat is a free chat filter for Minecraft Bedrock, which allows you to control the filters, chat cooldown, rate limits, etc.

—Downloading—

Downloading is really simple, first, download it from CurseForage, then, add to your world or server, make sure beta APIs are ON. Then, type !Settings in chat to toggle the filter and everything in it. Also, type "/tag Player add Op" in chat to allow them to mess with filter settings.

—Filters—

As of right now, there are five different filters you can toggle on and off. Firstly, slurs. This blocks racial and identity based slurs in the chat. Next, profanity. Blocks any swearing, cussing, or cursing in chat. Next is inappropriate filter, which will block any sexual, or inappropriate chat messages. Then, links, which will block links in chat that lead users to websites. Lastly a toxicity filter which blocks words like "EZ," "Noob," "Trash," etc. Also, all of the filters have anti-bypasses blocking symbols, spaces, numbers, and even Unicode lookalikes making it extremely hard to bypass the filter!

—Chat Cooldown—

When you own a public world, you may come across people spamming over and over. This will prevent that! With an amount of time you set, the players can only send one message within that time frame. This will prevent spammers from spamming the chat!

—Repeating Message Cooldown—

This also helps with preventing spammers! Usually, when someone spams the chat, they send the same message over and over. This makes it so a player can't send the same message within a certain amount of time you set, also, in case the spammers try bypassing this by adding a few letters, you can adjust the sensitivity to make it detect it. Default level zero setting makes it so the message must be exact to be blocked. Level one detects some potential bypasses, and messages with a few extra letters. Level two detects many more bypasses, and more letters, making them have to change their message greatly to send it again.

—Caps Limit—

Some players tend to yell in chat by typing in all caps, and some people may not like this. This part of the filter let's you enter a number 1-100 which will determine what % of the message needs to be in caps to be blocked. Good for a more peaceful environment.

—Rate Limit—

Allows you to make it so a player can't can only send a X amount of message in a certain amount of time. For example, you can use it to make it so a player can only send three messages ever fifteen seconds.

—Custom Blocked Words—

Have a word, or something the filter doesn't have that you don't want people saying? You can add you're own custom words that will also be filtered. You also can control the sensitivity on these words. The lowest sensitivity makes it so it has to be exact, moderate makes it so it catches bypasses that use numbers or symbols, and the max sensitivity catches similar spelled messages so they can't just add letters at the end to bypass it.

—Muting—

You can also mute players for however long you want. When muted, you can't speak, but still can run commands. Moderators can also see who muted a player, how much longer they are muted for, and unmute players. You can also "Quick Chat Mute" (More information on later) which makes it so players can only send messages we have premade, or moderator made messages.

—Auto Punishments—

Manually muting every rule player can get tiring, especially when you're offline, and no admins are watching. This feature allows you to make it so once detected, a player will be punished for breaking a rule. You can change up to five unique punishments, from warnings, to quick chat mutes, to full mutes. You choose how long they last, what order they happen in, if they happen at all, and how long until a warning on a player disappears. This will make moderation much easier.

—Quick Chat—

Safe chat is a bunch of premade messages that players can open by typing !QuickChat in chat. This will have a bunch of safe messages, players can quickly send. You can also Quick Chat mute so players can only send messages using quick chat. You can also add up to five custom categories, and up to twenty phrases each. You can also make it so you can only send messages through safe chat. As of right now, quick chat has 21 category's with 350 unique phrases.

—Recommended Player Count—

This Addon is recommended for smaller servers. Realms, or worlds with only ten players talking should show almost no lag. Worlds with no message limit, and have maxed out the sensitivity, and custom words can have about ten to thirty five active chatters, before lag, as it has to process every message, and the no limit will make it have to precess several messages a second to verify it is clean. Then for normal settings with chat cooldowns and other things, it can have up to thirty five, to one hundred chatters. Overall, recommended for servers that have under one hundred active players, to keep from any lag.

—Miscellaneous—

While these are the core features, there are several other features this pack has. It also has statistics that allow you to view censored and blocked messages, reviewed message, top offenders, etc. Also, admins can lock chat to only allow admins to chat, along with them being able to toggle on and off a staff bypass which will allow them to ignore the filter. You also can change it from censoring messages with * to fully blocking censored messages. Also, a feature I forgot to mention which I'm too lazy to add a full section for is symbol blocking. This allows you to limit symbol spamming, keeping the chat cleaner.

Please note that no filter is perfect, and it could very well make mistakes, or people could find bypasses. Please report these in the comments, so I can fix them. Thank you for using Pure Chat!

Also, sorry for blurry images. I had to crop them to fit for the description. It will look better in-game!
