PopGPT++ is an implemented offline symbolic learning companion with persistent semantic memory, contextual interpretation, feedback-based matching, bounded reasoning, and Minecraft actions. Ask questions, request items, build a house, or teleport home—and teach Pop along the way.

At his core is the Brain—Pop’s AI cognitive controller. Its growing enumeration connects terms with literal definitions, descriptions, memories, and relationships. Teach Pop a meaning, explain it through other known terms, and give examples to help him develop richer context and greater abstraction. Corrections and feedback refine how he matches your questions to learned answers.

While your world is running and you remain present—even AFK—Pop can review saved meanings and observe broad movement patterns. His development comes from the knowledge you provide, the connections his systems can follow, and the experiences they record.

Pop’s vision is a relatively omniscient Minecraft companion: knowledgeable within his available references, remembered experiences, and supported abilities. His language system uses programmed parsing, symbolic reasoning, and learned examples rather than a running neural large language model.

Plausibly, /PopGPT++ could provide an accessible platform for studying teachable AI companions, symbolic reasoning, and persistent memory within Minecraft. Researchers could examine how definitions, examples, corrections, and observed behavior affect an agent’s responses over time. Controlled experiments could measure learning retention, generalization, and how a companion’s simulated body influences human interaction and teaching. Findings could inform future educational tools, virtual assistants, and robotic cognitive controllers.
