Police Systems to add extra layers to your rolepays justice system

Valmont Police System v2.8 [BETA]

A complete law-enforcement and justice roleplay system for Minecraft Bedrock Edition.

Bring your Minecraft city to life with the Valmont Police System! Designed for roleplay servers, cities, and multiplayer communities, this addon introduces law-enforcement agencies, criminal records, arrests, custody management, correctional facilities, judiciary tools, and a citizen crime-reporting system.

Version 2.8 expands the system with the Valmont Citizen Phone, allowing players to submit crime reports and track investigations while authorized officers manage those reports through the Police Tablet.

This addon is designed for multiplayer roleplay and server communities that want a more structured justice system.

FEATURES

🚔 Law Enforcement & Agencies

  • Shared Police Tablet with role-based access.
  • Support for City Police, Sheriff’s Office, Park Rangers, FBI, DEA, ATF, Secret Service, Customs, Transit Enforcement, and Interdimensional Police.
  • Officer duty status and permission-based equipment access.
  • Criminal records, wanted lists, charges, fines, and arrest workflows.
  • Handcuffs, handcuff keys, police batons, and tasers.
  • Agency-specific crime-report queues and investigation permissions.

📱 Citizen Phone & Crime Reporting — NEW IN v2.8

Citizens can use the Valmont Citizen Phone to:

  • Submit crime reports.
  • Submit urgent incident reports.
  • View their own reports.
  • Check report statuses.
  • Respond to officer requests for additional information.

Officers can review, assign, investigate, refer, update, and close reports through the Police Tablet. Reports can also be linked to existing criminal records and court cases.

Important: Submitting or updating a report does not automatically create criminal charges, issue warrants, impose fines, or arrest anyone. Those actions remain part of the existing law-enforcement workflows.

Urgent reports are flagged for priority review and can generate a chat notification for eligible online, on-duty officers. This feature is not a dispatch or emergency-response system.

⚖️ Judiciary & Court Administration

  • Dedicated Judiciary Tablet.
  • Criminal case records and court logs.
  • Judicial decisions and charge dismissals.
  • Bail, probation, and parole records.
  • Custody transfer orders.
  • Read-only access to crime reports linked to court cases.

🔒 Corrections & Prison Management

  • City Jail, State Prison, and End Supermax support.
  • Configurable intake and release locations.
  • Sentence durations and custody management.
  • Corrections officer and prison warden roles.
  • Prisoner transport and transfer workflows.
  • Offline sentence countdowns, with expired inmates processed when they rejoin.
  • Administrative facility configuration and offense management through the Admin Tablet.

Facility setup is required: State Prison and Supermax are disabled until configured. Supermax is an administrative hold facility, not a normal destination for criminal charges.

🛡️ Role-Based Permissions

The addon supports dedicated job tags for law enforcement, corrections, judiciary, and related roles. Access to equipment and sensitive actions is checked against the player’s permissions when actions are performed.

🌐 Minecraft Bedrock Compatibility

  • Behavior Pack and Resource Pack included.
  • Persistent world-based records.
  • No external website or Discord connection required.
  • Designed for multiplayer worlds and Realm-style roleplay communities.

HOW TO INSTALL

  1. Download the .mcaddon file.
  2. Open it with Minecraft Bedrock Edition and allow both packs to import.
  3. Open your world settings and activate the Valmont Police System Behavior Pack and Resource Pack.
  4. Enable any experimental settings required by your Minecraft version or script configuration, if prompted.
  5. Back up your world before testing or updating.
  6. Configure your correctional facilities before using their sentencing or transfer features.

Recommended environment: Minecraft Bedrock Edition 1.26.50 or newer, targeting the 1.26.52-era script environment. Compatibility with other versions has not been fully verified.

HOW TO USE

1. Assign player roles

An operator can assign roles using Minecraft commands. Replace with the target player’s gamertag.

Examples:

/tag add vps_job_city_police_officer

Assigns the City Police Officer job.

/tag add vps_job_detective

Assigns the Detective job.

/tag add vps_job_judge

Assigns the Judge job.

/tag add vps_job_corrections_officer

Assigns the Corrections Officer job.

/tag remove vps_job_city_police_officer

Removes the City Police Officer job.

Other supported jobs include sheriff and deputy sheriff, park ranger, federal agents, transit and customs officers, prison wardens, court administrators, bailiffs, court security, probation officers, parole officers, and bail recovery agents.

The full job list and permission configuration are available in scripts/config.js inside the behavior pack.

2. Understand the legacy permission tags

The addon also supports legacy tags:

  • vps_officer — Grants legacy police permissions when combined with the duty requirement.
  • vps_on_duty — Enables duty-required equipment and actions for legacy officers.
  • vps_corrections — Legacy corrections permissions.
  • vps_warden — Legacy warden permissions.
  • vps_admin — Administrative access.

Example:

/tag add vps_admin

Important: A job tag does not automatically add every other tag. Assign the specific tags needed for your setup. Legacy permissions and job-based permissions have different rules; follow the included README for the details.

3. Give players their devices

Devices can be obtained through the Creative inventory or commands.

Citizen Phone

/give @s com_valmont_police_system_3tpvw7py:citizen_phone

Police Tablet

/give @s com_valmont_police_system_3tpvw7py:police_tablet

Judiciary Tablet

/give @s com_valmont_police_system_3tpvw7py:judiciary_tablet

Admin Tablet

/give @s com_valmont_police_system_3tpvw7py:admin_tablet

Use the appropriate tablet to access the features allowed by your assigned role. Some items and actions are restricted by permissions and duty status.

4. Configure jail and prison facilities

Before using State Prison or Supermax, open the behavior pack’s scripts/config.js and configure the appropriate intake and release coordinates, dimension, and facility settings.

The default City Jail coordinates are placeholders and may need to be changed to match your actual build.

  • City Jail: Local arrest and detention facility.
  • State Prison: Long-term correctional facility.
  • Supermax: Administrative hold facility located in the End by default.

Do not enable an unconfigured facility or leave placeholder coordinates in place.

5. Submit and investigate crime reports

Citizens:

  1. Use the Citizen Phone.
  2. Choose Report a Crime or Urgent Incident Report.
  3. Complete the form and submit it.
  4. Use My Reports or Check Report Status to follow up.

Authorized officers:

  1. Go on duty when required.
  2. Open the Police Tablet.
  3. Select Crime reports / investigations.
  4. Review reports available to your agency.
  5. Assign and investigate reports, add notes or evidence, request information, and update statuses as appropriate.

Citizens can see only their own reports and approved public updates. They cannot access confidential investigative notes or other citizens’ reports.

IMPORTANT BETA NOTES

This is a beta release. Please test it in a backup world before deploying it to an established server.

  • The addon has automated tests, but this release has not been fully verified in a live Minecraft world or Realm.
  • Real-client form behavior, console and mobile interfaces, and large-scale multiplayer performance require additional testing.
  • Facility coordinates must be configured to match your world.
  • Crime reports are associated with player names; changing a gamertag can prevent access to older reports.
  • Urgent reports do not replace a dedicated dispatch system.
  • Bail, probation, parole, and transfer orders are records and workflows; they do not automatically implement every real-world legal or financial process.
  • Some role permissions and agency access settings can be customized in the behavior pack.
  • Back up your world before updating or rolling back versions.

Please report bugs, compatibility problems, and unexpected behavior in the project comments so they can be investigated in future releases.
