Description

Passive Mobs turns every hostile and neutral mob in the Overworld, Nether, and End into a friendly, non-aggressive creature — without removing anything else about them. Mobs keep their normal AI: they wander, look around, swim, fly, breed, and behave exactly like vanilla, they just don't hunt or attack the player or other mobs.

What this pack does:

  • Converts every hostile and neutral mob to non-aggressive — zombies, skeletons, creepers, spiders, endermen, piglins, blazes, ghasts, and more. No melee attacks, no ranged attacks, no explosions, no targeting of the player or other mobs.
  • Predator/prey behavior is removed too — wolves won't hunt rabbits, foxes won't raid chickens, dolphins won't attack guardians.
  • The Warden no longer attacks or debuffs the player in any way.
  • Creepers can still be manually ignited with flint & steel for charged-creeper mob head farming, but they can never self-prime or become hostile on their own.
  • Endermen no longer pick up or place blocks.
  • Every mob in the game — hostile, neutral, and passive alike — can be leashed with a lead, including mobs that normally can't be.
  • Villagers and the Wandering Trader trade without ever running out of stock or needing to restock.

Known limitations (a few boss/aura mechanics are hardcoded into the game itself and can't be fully disabled through an add-on):

  • The Ender Dragon still breathes fire and can still deal area damage, but it's been tuned to dive at the player far less often, so it's noticeably less dangerous than vanilla — not fully harmless.
  • The Wither no longer attacks after it spawns, but its multi-stage spawn-in explosion sequence is hardcoded to the game engine and still happens.
  • The Elder Guardian still applies Mining Fatigue to nearby players — this aura isn't tied to any removable component and can't be disabled through a behavior pack.

Built from Mojang's official vanilla behavior files, so every other part of each mob's behavior — animations, sounds, breeding, loot — stays exactly as it is in vanilla Minecraft.

Hostile mobs only fight back if attacked first; bosses stay full vanilla difficulty since finding them is the provocation.
