NOVACRAFT RPG SKILLS: THE ULTIMATE MMO LEVELING ADD-ON
THE SURVIVAL ENDGAME PROBLEM
What is up, guys! Let us talk about a massive issue we all face in this game. Vanilla survival is incredibly fun for the first few weeks, but once you defeat the Ender Dragon, secure your Elytra, and get a full set of enchanted Netherite gear, the game just feels empty. You hit a wall where there is no real reason to keep grinding. Mining feels like a chore, fighting standard mobs becomes totally pointless, and chopping wood is just boring. I wanted to bring that addictive, long-term grind from massive MMO and RPG games straight into Bedrock Edition.
That is exactly why I spent so much time over at Novacraft studios developing the NovaCraft RPG Skills add-on. I did not want just a simple stat tracker that counts your blocks broken. I wanted a fully functional, highly rewarding progression system that actually makes you stronger the more you play. This add-on completely changes how you interact with your world, giving you a reason to get out of your base and start grinding again.
HOW THE SKILL SYSTEM WORKS
To make the gameplay feel as natural as possible, I introduced three core skill trees: Mining, Woodcutting, and Combat. Every single time you perform an action related to these skills, the game tracks it and rewards you with Experience Points (XP). But I made sure the system is incredibly smart and balanced.
For example, in the Mining skill, breaking standard stone or cobblestone gives you a tiny bit of XP. But if you risk diving into the deep dark for Deepslate ores, you get a solid bonus. And if you are mining Ancient Debris in the Nether? The add-on rewards you with a massive XP drop! The Combat skill works the exact same way. Killing a basic zombie gives you standard points, but taking down a Warden or the Wither will give you thousands of points. I even enabled PvP XP, meaning you can literally level up your combat stats just by fighting your friends in a server arena. Every skill scales dynamically. The max level is 50, and the amount of XP you need to level up increases every time, so the journey to max level is a genuine, satisfying grind.
OVERPOWERED PASSIVE PERKS
Now, you might be asking, why am I grinding to level 50? Because the rewards are absolutely insane. I designed the leveling system to give you automatic, permanent passive buffs as you progress.
Let us look at the Mining tree. When you hit level 10, you instantly unlock a permanent 10% Double Drop chance. That means every time you mine an ore, there is a chance the game will literally spit out extra loot right in front of you. If you grind all the way to level 25, you are rewarded with permanent Haste I. And if you are an absolute madman who reaches level 50? You get permanent Haste II forever, completely removing the need to ever build a beacon.
The Combat tree is just as wild. Hitting level 15 unlocks the Lifesteal perk. Every time you kill a mob, you have a 20% chance to instantly heal half a heart, complete with custom particle effects. Push that Combat skill to level 30, and you unlock permanent Strength I, turning you into an absolute tank. Woodcutting perks are currently being designed for the next update, but you can start grinding your woodcutting levels right now to be ready for when they drop!
CUSTOM UI AND PROGRESS TRACKING
There is nothing more annoying than an add-on that forces you to type out complicated slash commands just to see your stats. I wanted the user experience to be flawless. The moment you or your friends join a world with this add-on installed, the game automatically places two items in your inventory: The RPG Guide and the RPG Menu.
These function as interactive books. All you have to do is crouch and right-click (or long-press on your screen), and a sleek, modern user interface pops up instantly. The Guide book explains all the XP values and mechanics, which is perfect for new players joining your realm. The RPG Menu is your personal dashboard. It shows your exact level, your current XP, the XP required for your next level up, and a beautiful visual progress bar. Also, whenever you do level up, the game blasts a massive title on your screen, plays a level-up sound, and shoots off fireworks at your location. It feels incredibly rewarding.
THE REALM ADMIN PANEL
If you are running a multiplayer server or a realm, managing player data needs to be easy. That is why I built a secret control panel directly into the add-on. If you have the 'admin' tag on your character, opening the standard RPG Menu will reveal an exclusive Admin Panel button.
Clicking this opens a dropdown menu where you can select any player currently online on your server, choose a specific skill, and use a slider to manually set their exact level from 1 to 50. If someone loses their data, or if you want to host a special server event where everyone starts at max level, you can do it instantly with just three clicks. No complex coding or command blocks are required.
