WHY I MADE THIS ADD-ON

What is up, fellow Minecraft survival grinders? Let us have a real talk about the most frustrating thing in this entire game. We have all been there. You just spent four solid hours down in the deep slate caves, sweating while dodging wardens and creepers, and you finally have a massive haul of diamonds, iron, and rare ores. You are feeling like an absolute boss, making your way back up to your base, and out of nowhere, a skeleton shoots you off a ledge, or you miss a simple block jump and fall straight into a lava pit. Boom. Everything is just gone. Your god-tier enchanted pickaxe, your hard-earned loot, all vanished in a second.

I literally hated seeing my friends rage quit our realm because they lost all their gear to a stupid random death. I wanted to fix this permanently so we could actually enjoy the game. That is exactly why Novacraft studios developed the NovaCraft Graves add-on. I did not want some buggy, laggy mess that ruins server performance or feels like cheating. I wanted a super clean, optimized, and reliable death chest system that just works silently in the background and saves your sanity when things go wrong.

THE SECURE GRAVE MECHANIC

So, how does this actually save your life? It is beautifully simple for you but highly advanced under the hood. To make this work flawlessly, the add-on relies on your world having the keep inventory rule set to true. But do not worry, it is not going to feel like you are cheating!

The exact moment you take fatal damage and die, the system instantly logs your precise death coordinates and dimension. Then, the split second you hit the respawn button in your bed, the add-on completely clears your inventory, strips off your armor, takes your offhand items, and packs them all securely. It immediately transforms a block at your exact death location into a secure chest and safely loads every single piece of your gear inside it. No more items despawning after five minutes while you are running back. No more items burning up in the fire. Your hard work is locked in a box waiting for you to come back and claim it.

FAILSAFES AND FINDING YOUR LOOT

I know exactly what you are thinking, bro. What if I die in the absolute void in the End dimension? Will my chest just spawn in nothingness and fall forever? Nope. I coded a strict safety net for the Y-coordinates. The add-on mathematically calculates safe heights, ensuring your chest will never spawn below Y negative sixty or above the maximum world limit.

But wait, there is more. Finding a single wooden chest in a massive jungle biome or a giant dark cave can be super annoying. So, the moment you die, the add-on automatically sends a private chat message to you with your exact X, Y, and Z death coordinates. Once you run back and get close to the area, you will also see sick green Totem of Undying particles floating directly above your grave, making it incredibly easy to spot your loot from a distance even in the dark.

THE CUSTOM ADMIN UI PANEL

I wanted this add-on to be extremely easy for realm owners and server admins to manage. Nobody likes typing out long, complicated commands just to change a simple setting. When you first load into the world, the game will automatically hand you a custom NovaCraft Admin Panel item, which looks exactly like a sick recovery compass.

If you have the specific 'admin' tag on your character, all you need to do is crouch and long-press the screen (or right-click if you are on PC). This completely cancels the normal compass animation and immediately pops open a sleek, custom user interface directly on your screen. From this control panel, you can literally manage everything with just a tap. You can completely toggle the entire graves system on or off, you can enable or disable the death coordinates showing up in the chat, and there is even a dedicated panic button to forcefully turn on the keep inventory game rule with one click just in case you forgot to set it up in the world settings.

MULTIPLAYER AND REALM OPTIMIZED

As a developer, server performance is a massive priority for me. A lot of old death add-ons use invisible armor stands or ticking entities that constantly run commands in the background and absolutely destroy your server's frame rate. NovaCraft Graves is completely different. It uses the modern dynamic properties system to save configuration data, meaning it uses zero extra entities. It only runs its logic at the exact millisecond a player dies or respawns, making it insanely lightweight. You can have thirty players dying left and right on your realm during a boss fight, and the server will not even break a sweat.
