Description
What is up, guys? Let us have an honest conversation about Minecraft pets for a second. We all love taming wolves when we start a new survival world, right? You find a wolf in the forest, give it a couple of bones, dye its collar blue, and feel super proud.
But what happens five minutes later? You realize that if you actually take your dog into a cave or out at night, it is going to walk straight into lava, jump off a cliff, or get blown up by the very first Creeper you see. So, just like every other player, you make your dog sit in the corner of your house, where it stays like a piece of furniture for the rest of the game.
I was honestly tired of having pets that are too weak to actually bring on adventures. Here at Novacraft studios, we wanted to create a companion that actually feels alive, has a real personality, and can genuinely hold its own in a tough fight. That is why I created the Nova Pets add-on featuring the Nova Pup—a literal baby Titan that travels with you, talks to you, and smashes monsters right by your side.
FINDING AND TAMING YOUR BABY TITAN
You do not need any complicated rituals to find a Nova Pup. Wild Pups spawn naturally and roam around in Plains, Forests, and Taiga biomes, so you will run into them while exploring your world (or you can grab their spawn egg in creative mode).
Because the Nova Pup has pure Titan blood running through its veins, a regular plain bone is not going to impress it. You need to head over to a crafting table and cook up a special Titan Treat. The recipe is super survival-friendly: just combine 1 Bone + 1 Gold Ingot + 1 Emerald, and that will give you 2 Titan Treats.
Once you spot a wild Pup, hold the Titan Treat in your hand and tap on it to feed it. Be patient, bro—one treat usually will not be enough to win over a baby Titan! Keep feeding it a few treats until you see the hearts pop up. The exact moment you tame it, the add-on automatically assigns your new best friend one of ten badass custom names—like Rex, Bolt, Rocky, Blaze, Frost, Titan, Sparky, Bruno, Shadow, or Simba—complete with a glowing cyan name tag above its head!
A PET THAT ACTUALLY TALKS AND FIGHTS
This is not just a reskinned wolf; the Nova Pup is built like a mini tank. Tamed Pups have a massive 100 HP health pool, slowly regenerate their own health over time, and are 100% immune to fall damage thanks to their Titan genetics. Whether you are exploring the Overworld, the Nether, or the End, your Pup will follow you everywhere, teleporting to catch up if you get too far ahead, and aggressively attacking any monster that tries to touch you.
My absolute favorite feature in this add-on is the Interactive Pup Dialogue System. Your tamed Pup actually talks to you in the chat!
-
In Combat: When a zombie or skeleton attacks you, your Pup will jump in yelling lines like "INTRUDER! Get away from my human!" or "Time for the Titan smackdown!" and even brags after scoring a kill.
-
Low Health Alerts: You never have to guess if your pet is dying. If your Pup drops below 30% HP during a brutal fight, it will call out to you in chat begging for a treat so you can save it in time.
-
Idle Chatter: While you are just chilling or building around your base, your Pup will randomly drop funny comments to keep you company, reminding you that it is "10 percent Titan, 90 percent cuteness!"
THE CUB WHISTLE AND CUSTOM UI PANEL
Managing multiple pets in vanilla Minecraft is super annoying, especially when you accidentally punch them while trying to make them sit. To fix this, the add-on automatically gives you a custom Cub Whistle item when you spawn into the world (and gives it back if you ever lose it).
Using the Cub Whistle opens up a sleek Nova Pets UI Menu right on your screen with everything you need:
-
Call My Pup: Instantly teleports all of your Pups within a massive 128-block radius straight to your feet with a custom whistle sound effect.
-
Make SIT & Make STAND: Two separate, dedicated buttons that command all of your tamed Pups within 32 blocks to either sit down and rest or stand up for battle at the exact same time (you can also tap a Pup with an empty hand).
-
Feed Treat (Full Heal): Got an injured Pup in the middle of a fight? Click this button and the add-on will automatically find your most damaged Pup within 64 blocks, consume one Titan Treat from your inventory, and restore its health to 100% FULL instantly! You can also hand-feed a treat directly to your Pup for a full heal.
-
Pup Status & Pet Guide: Pulls up a live status report in chat showing the name, exact HP, distance in meters, and sitting status of every Pup within 64 blocks, plus a built-in handbook in case you ever forget the crafting recipe.
HOW TO IMPORT AND ENABLE BETA APIS
Getting your own baby Titan in your world is super easy:
-
Download the
.mcaddonor.mcpackfile from this page. -
On PC (Windows 10/11): Double-click the downloaded file and Minecraft Bedrock will launch and import the add-on automatically. On Mobile (Android/iOS): Tap the downloaded file in your file manager and select "Open with Minecraft".
-
IMPORTANT — ENABLE BETA APIS: Before you load into your world, open your World Settings, scroll down to the Experiments section on the left menu, and toggle ON Beta APIs. If you skip this step, the Cub Whistle UI menu, instant treat healing, and Pup chat dialogues will not work!
